"Lately I been, I been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin' hard
Said no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars
Yeah, we'll be counting stars" ONE REPUBLIC-Counting Stars
I felt today I needed a little bit of inspiration instead of just typing up the downlo of what has been happening in our lovely family life. A little inspiration helps when your daughter has been waking it up at 5am every morning and fighting naps. Things are always changing around here daily..and never boring!
In fact just yesterday the toilet paper roll got to dance around my bathroom twice in one day thanks to my toddler and no I am not referring to Captain O! Things may get tight here and there on money..we always make do, always survive and try to make the most of our time with our family of small children. Besides counting stars and making out pictures in the clouds is one of our faves. Every night when I put the bug or frog light on for my sweet babes we ask them to count the stars and tell us how many there are. We are rich in laughter, imagination and love! Which means a whole lot more in the end after all.
As it becomes fall....out come socks! I do not know about you...but I hate wearing them. If I did not get colder at this time of year and have wee ones..I would probably not wear them at all. But to be a good example you must lead by example. Even if that means your feet are screaming at me in protest. O hates socks more than E it seems. We can not get this boy of mine to keep his shoes or socks on if his life depended on it. Besides they make great teethers for a 14month old right!
O is 14 months old! Blink 0-14months..in a blink! He is quite the little character. He is getting taller and bigger every day. I keep putting away clothes that he should be in for a bit being 12-18month sizing. However he is taller and some things he is wearing are already 18-24 and fit him perfect now. I can see him growing out of things more quickly than E ever did.
O is my Jethro! Throw Back Thursday Memory there. If you do not know who Jethro is..look up beverly hill billies and have a good chuckle. He never stops eating and will steal snacks like no body's business. Just the other day since my lovely boy likes to play in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. I had to pull my hot pot cork circles out of the drawer and leave them on the counter for the current time. O has decided that eating Cork seems like a good idea. Not as tasty as he would have thought but none the less is a good teething aid.
He is repeating sounds and words daily. Sometimes we even hear him say " I did it" or "I gotcha" all quick and mumbly. He loves to clap and wave and boy what a FLIRT! Who can say no to the length of those eye lashes and blue eyes anyway.
I need to invest in FLASH running shoes. (comic book reference) He crawls up the stairs like he always knew how. He is now walking on and off behind his motorcycle walker. When his sister lets him have the chance to use it. They both love it equally. Just out of O's reach is not high enough anymore either. He will climb on you or a object to reach it if he wants it that badly. He is the most resourceful kid I have ever met.
Miss E:
So right now we are having lots of fun with the 2-3 age. You know where we hit and throw toys and would rather be very dramatic and throw ourselves on the floor instead of listening and doing the task at hand. Especially Potty time. We are very selective on when we would like to go. We are getting better on starting to tell us she needs to go not just us taking her once a hour. I am very proud of how far she has come considering how small of a age we started her at.
We are constantly putting words together. If you have dog hair or the floor does, Miss E will be sure to tell you "DOG hair, Dog Hairrrrrr" with a accent. She also is playing in her room for a 1/2hr-hr in the morning before telling us she is awake and what we may nee to change in her diaper. Even O gets told from her room. It is quite a comical house hold.
Hard to believe that in 98 days she will be 3 years old already. Hence this Mama has been Christmas and Bday shopping for our household already. We love her through and through even though some weeks are harder and more tiring than others. It is just an age and phase and we will soon laugh about all the little things.
Baby#3:
Well we have been having quite the time. First off I am going to have to postpone the gender party that we were going to have at our place and plan it for later on. My doctor refuses to send me to have a ultrasound just for sex! The technician we had last time at diagnostics in our medical building was not professional to say the least. She was guessing on sex..no where and I mean no where did we see a PENIS! She said her guess would be boy but you could be right it could be a girl. She thought she may have seen boy bits..referring to the BALLS. That being said it was very bad pictures on the screen..very fuzzy! She was looking at a upside-down view..bum angle..umbilical cord was there..legs crossed and he Hands/Feet were both in the way. She could not multi-task and for her to get the actual measurements more my scan it took her 35min before Doug and the kids could come in. Not to mention she was talking about my date changing again but did not actually give me anew one. Sooooo much fun!
Today we had the check up..The heart beat was at 150bpm. Very quick paced. Blood pressure was good. Our tests for any genetic problems are low risk. The baby is in the 87%..whatever my doctor would like that to mean. I believe we are a week or so farther than what they think. Doug and I believe it will come around New Years or the 7th..they keep thinking my due date is the 27th..originally the 16th.
Needless to say my next scan will be with Dr.Maskens who we saw for the other pregnancies and we should get some more clear answers. But Mum is the word on Sex. You can give it a guess if you like. My pregnancy is the Same time frame as E's was. I am carrying and having similar symptom pregnancy to E more than O. I remember O being more aggressive inside always moving. I felt this one later like E..even though they say its larger. We definitely did not see a actual Penis as of yet and with O it was right there at attention. We will love it either way. We are so blessed to be having this journey again as our family grows.
My next appointment is when I am 25 weeks at Partners in Pregnancy which my doctor is a part of on Wednesday mornings. I am to get a call shortly of when they could get me in. I am going to do another blood sugar test to see if I have gestational diabetes with this child. I did not with E and did with O. So we will see what is to come of that. I am to have a small snack 2 hrs prior and that is all. My last one was done early but came back clear of having it again. My doctor is very to the book and perticular. I even have to get a booster shot for things this time around.
Now you have the downlo. Lots to tell and catch up on. I will post again soon. If I ever remember I have not posted pics lately. Last time I tried blogger as acting up. Love the Brants
If you read this blog from the very first post it will show you all the ins and outs and obstacles my husband took to conceive our world our family. It will take you through our pregnancy's and how we are doing month to month..updates on our children. 13 Months and 16 Wk Checkup
Hey Y'all
Happy Sunday! I would have wrote yesterday but we took our family and a family friend on a little road trip to Toronto, ON to the Amazing Ripley's Aquarium. If you have not had a chance to go..its a little bit expensive for the adults..but definitely worth the memories. We would not hesitate to go back.
O is already 13 months old. We are definitely babbling a lot more and trying to say new words daily..or at least sounding them out. We are mimicking facial expressions and sounds that we do to him back at us.
Food..well what isn't O eating. You give anything to that boy and he will eat it. Jethro in the making. In fact he likes to eat food so much that he gets Hangry if it is not ready at a normal time or what time he thinks you should be feeding him at. We often have to just stop letting him have more food due to he will just slow down but not actually stop.
We are trying to adventure around the house daily. For example this morning my husband learned that O has found the corner cupboard that pulls out with 2 pieces to reveal a deep cupboard full of food to pull out. We never really had to worry about cupboards with E..she left them alone.
I would love to say he is walking but he is only walking along things still. Does not have as much interest..he is extremely efficient at crawling super fast..so we do not worry. We already have to swiftly pick things up or move things out of O's reach. E is learning that hard way that her toys are not just hers and we need to share with O.
Other than the daily norm both kids are doing much better. We had a awful bug that was going around where they both had bums so raw that we had to get cortizone cream for them. Poor O was bleeding on his bum. It is still a little pink now, but that is what happens when you are wee and get The Runs.
Baby # 3:
Last week we went to the doctors for baby # 3. E was very excited that she got to hear the baby's heartbeat. I am back up a lb..honestly at this time I do not care about weight. I was down a lb last time we went. It always fluctuates up and down in the beginning for me.
My doctor seems to want me to diet or try not to gain any weight at all this pregnancy. In her words not mine "you have enough reserves that the baby could survive off what you already have stored". Pretty sure my doctor is calling me fat. I told her I usually gain around 20 give or take...which I lose at birth. According to her I should not have to even gain that for my size. I am wondering where I am not gaining cause I am pretty sure I am growing another human being and my children usually weigh 6-8lbs so there is almost 10lbs right there if you add in the placenta..and the expanding uterus and water weight and all that fun stuff..but ok lets go Diet this time around.
The way I see it, I am not binge eating. I do not go out of my way to eat tons of junk while pregnant we walk daily and I do yoga and other exercises while pregnant. My doctor is concerned more of my weight due to my last pregnancy with Gestational Diabetes. However I was strep positive with E and not with O. Both completely different children and pregnancies and Deliveries. I am not concerned. If it happens we will deal with it. There is not any point in worrying about something that has not happened yet or may not.
Things overall are going well. Blood pressure is good...weight it normal, heartbeat is 140 bpm. I go for another appointment and ultrasound in September..where we can if the baby cooperates find out what the next baby will be. Boy or Girl..what is your guess?
I am thinking I would like to do a fun party like a gender reveal shindig! Who's IN????
Until next time..xoxo The Brants

Excited and Thankful
Hey Y'all
If you have not already seen the instagram I reshared on my Facebook page or just follow the blog from afar. We are currently expecting our 3rd sweet miracle. I call them miracles because we are so thankful and bless to have these sweet children in our lives. Some days are hard but most are definitely worth it all!
Currently my Due date is January 28, 2015..we had originally thought it was Jan 16/17. But by the size that is showing up in the past two ultrasounds it is looking like the end of Jan! I am definitely not counting on the end of January more like the beginning or 2nd week most likely. All of my children like to come into the world nice and early and at their deciding time. I am guessing this one will just fly out of me after O's quick birth.
And NO before you ask this was not an accident! We were trying but not. What I mean by that is that we were not trying to stop it from happening since we had a little bit of help cycling properly with O before we got pregnant with him. So we just assumed that it would take a bit and happen a little bit after he was 1. We just got lucky that after 2 or 3 cycles that my dh happened to have a lucky swimmer!!! haha!
Lots is changing in our lives. My Dh just switched jobs technically even though he is outsourced to work for the same company. We just finished our back deck, bought a MiniVan..yes I know what you are thinking. They became those people! Well my husband said he would not ever be caught driving one in his life...little did he know. Its great for getting our munchkins in and out of parking lots..no more getting hit with the door from the elderly being impatient for parking.
We wanted 3 or 4 Children..not sure about the 4th but we will see when we get there. We love them so much and enjoy them each moment. We have had some negative comments...I won't name them..but it is frustrating and quite frankly it is not any damn business of theirs how many children we decide we want to have. The way I see it..we love our children, we look after them and put them first as they should be. They have their needs meant and we are happy..truly that is what matters. And before I hear another " Oh are't you having them close together" or "Wow you did not Wait", I want you to stop and think about the road we took to get Miss E! 3 plus years! I have put my body through so much to get her and a bit more to keep O and get him..They are all going to be around the same distance apart 1 1/2 years! And Hell ppl used to have them younger and closer together.
I will try to update more often. So far I am almost out of my 1st Trimester. We are getting excited. E will be going into school in Sept 2015 at 3 years old..so all will work out. I am down a lb since i go up and down so much in the beginning. I am sick like I was with E not O! So very nauseous but only have thrown up twice. More smells than anything. No cravings..eating small amounts. Very tired so far..but thats normal. I go in Aug for another Apt. Yes we are probably finding out..not sure who we will tell though lol. E is constantly telling me the baby is napping and kissing my belly. She also sings to the baby.

A whole Year has Passed!
Happy July!
When you are wee time goes by so slowly. School seems to be forever and so does summer holidays. Well we can go and throw that out the window! When you are a parent time flies. Most of the time faster than what you would like it to. This Past week July 16th O turned 1!!!!!
Hard to believe that it has been over a year since we rushed to the hospital to meet this daring little guy we have loved from the start and get to know more each day. He is trouble though, let me tell you. Adventure extroidanaire and definitely a good way to describe this curious little guy. He is always trying out new sounds and new ways to take things down off of heights he should not be at or ways to be up his sisters bum..because he loves her ohhhh so much!
He is currently getting his two top teeth in on the sides of his front top middle teeth. One is now through. We are lucky enough to say that he is a great sleeper most of the time. But when it comes to certain times when teething he is a little more needy than usual. He also will eat anything and everything. So vacuuming a couple times a week is a must. I really do not enjoy scavenger hunt diaper changes. Especially while pregnant lol. But really he is a great little eater and is trying new things every day. I miss those days with his sister.
We bought him a Motorcycle walk for his birthday that he can ride on and use to learn to walk. Sooo not too long from now I can probably assure you I will be writing a little blog post about that. Currently we are walking across hanging on to couches and standing freehand here and there..we love to climb and use go go gadget arms to reach things from heights you would not think he could reach.
We had a small dinner with my parents for O on his actual birthday. My parents came and helped us out while we had two baby appointments during out little munchkins nap time. We had a nice regular quiet dinner and had some cake and ice cream. Yesterday we had his bday party. We celebrate with our neighbours a couple close friends and family from both sides. It was nice to get everyone together in one place. I made him a construction cake for his party and we had some decorations and balloons. Set up some pools and the water table for the kiddos and just had some yummy bbq food. We are thankful for all who came to celebrate the special day.
We had O's 1 year checkup today. He is doing really well. He now weighs 22 1/2 lb. and is 31.1 inches long. He is doing well all around according to our doctor. We do not go back until 15 months just for another shot. He had 3 today so he was not such a happy camper.
I will post pics later on and some news about the latest pregnancy announcement. As for now I have to comfort a cranky boy. Love the Brants xoxo

Captain O's 11 month Post
Hey Y'all,
Happy Monday! I know most of you probably loathe Mondays. Clearly weekends were not made long enough.
Today O is 11 months old! Holy Crack-a-lackin that is just mind boggling. He is definitely a boy on a mission most of the time. He is now full on crawling..mostly when he realizes it is much faster and wants to. He still army crawls to places and is continuously taking leaps and bounds in walking along objects and climbing random house objects.
I do not know if any of you still own a actual VCR..but we do. I know its very RETRO..lol. But when you have certain copies of movies that you have not bought in another form or illegally downloaded in another version I dare say..you must use the old ways with a VHS tape. Well we do not believe in fully blocking off the real world from our children. This being said lately O and the VCR and DVD player are becoming quite the companions and wrestling partners. O likes to climb up on the tv unit and push the flap on the VCR or push it all the way through the unit till it drops down the back..with the DVD player on the shelf below included. It is quite entertaining to watch. Miss E will just shake her head and say Ohhhhh Oooooo! You can forget to tell him down or Ta. O has a mind of his own and he does not listen to reasoning. Explore at his own will he does. We usually end up moving him about 10-20 times and then say "Oh well if he falls he will learn. "
Sooo about two weeks or so ago..we got to take O in to a paediatrician to look at his manhood. The poor kid had the cyst like formation removed and also the skin around his penis head put down to wear it should have been when he got circummsized. So to sum up what happened. The doctor used a bigger needle with more force and removed the pea shaped formation off of his penis..which may return. It was basically the skin had grown over a oil gland that when you are not circummsized it produces oil to separate the skin down there. All naturally there. When it got covered it kept thickening the oil and it was trapped..turns sort of chalky and hard. The skin around..the purple helmet the doctor called it was scar tissue from when we had him circummsized and it had regrown up higher than it should..so that got popped back into place. Glad it was my DH that took the poor boy in and not me.
O is doing great on Homo. We are constantly trying new foods with him. O even had a peanut butter sandwich with his sister on the weekend and shared in our spaghetti and garlic bread at dinner last night. In fact he loved dinner while his silly sister just sat there and picked at the bread. Go figure a kid that refuses to try new foods or tomato sauce.
Lately O is making lots of fun noises with his mouth. He is a big water boy and loves baths or the pirate ship water table we play in on the deck. I would not be surprised if he does not have more teeth soon or uses two words together shortly. Each day is an adventure with our curious little guy, but he amazes us each day and we love him so dearly.
Miss E:
Ohhh Two's the roller coaster of emotions. One day we listen like a sweet girl..the next we are upset because the bathroom door is closed or as E would say "oh no, its locked".
We started potty training two weeks ago now. The first day was horrible. As the first week progressed it got better. This past week we went 4 days with no accidents which is huge for her young age. We are still putting a diaper on Miss E for nap, night and if we are going out on long outings. Usually on outings or nap though she is now dry. I am not wanted to wake her up at night quite yet and we still are pretty wet come morning. Before we started all of this I tried to decrease her milk at dinner but she was always wanting more and acting thirsty. We have enough problems with constipation between her and O we do not need to go there right now. Over all she is doing really well. We have to work on the telling us when she has to go and listening part. E likes to run in the other direction when we ask her unless she is already almost peeing her pants. Most days we only have 1 accident if that. She has even pooped on the potty a couple times.
Other than potty training we are just working on listening and vocal. We would like to put her in a preschool program up here to get her a bit more socialized before school next year. Scary right..she will still be 3 starting school. Bless her little heart. Also everything is "Mine" E will tell you..even if it is something that she should not have. One of our favourite things she is saying "Me Too" but when E says it, it always sounds like "I'm Two". It is a running joke around her lately.
Well right now I am going to have some mommy quiet time. It has been a long morning and I know I do not have much more time left before I go get the little guy. Love to all The Brants.

O's 10 month Post
Another month has gone and past. Here I am sat in front of my laptop trying to think of what to tell you. Well we only have less than 2 months until Mr.O is a 1 year old. Some days it really shows more than others.
O is starting to crawl a little here and there..I give it another week in a bit and he may be full on crawling everywhere. Before he would just move his legs and not his arms..things are slowly coming together. He is standing up all over and trying to climb onto other obstacles to get things he deems fit to play with or grab. Some days that means leaning over the play food tote to reach into the mega blocks to get them out one by one. Other days it means opening the potato bag in the kitchen and slamming the large drawer open and closed. E's colouring books are no longer safe on her little desk if not put away properly.
He is doing really well on mashed foods. Slowly we will soon introduce him to pieces..we have not tried to master the picking up small pieces as of yet. We give him the small cereal puffs but he will not put them in his own mouth just yet. He loves to try new foods. The expressions I get are priceless.
In about a week I would say we will be done all of my breast milk add into the bottles. Makes me sad a tiny bit. But also he is growing so well and is ready for all HOMO bottles.
This week we are dealing with sleep issues in both children. O and E have colds..we thought it was just teeth but it is definitely a cold that has to run its course. As it gets warmer..colds are not any fun to sleep with. Especially with little noses that run like faucets.
If you have followed all along. E's first word was Hi..O has said Mama and Dada for awhile but definitely is sounding like he is trying to say Hi as well as okay. Which is quite funny.
We went to the doctor for O's penis growth today and we are being referred to a paediatrician in town to see what he thinks it is and the next step to take.
E:
Poor little Miss E has a ear infection. I can honestly say we have made it his far and have never had to give her any antibiotics until now. Which is amazing in itself. My heart breaks seeing her in so much pain. But it is so hard for them to voice what hurts and where when they are so wee. After E deciding to not eat lunch and napping her instead ..then to have her wake and scream holding her ear. Every time I asked her if it hurt she was screaming and hitting and just not herself. I am soooo thankful we got her in right away today. Poor little ladybug.
Other than that E is great! She is learning lots of new words. Her personality keeps growing. O and E love each other so much..which is enough to make your heart melt.
I would like to say our picky eating has changed..but sadly it has not. This weekend we will be putting some garden flowers and plants in. We bought E a little wheel barrow to help out. Last year she loved getting into the dirt with us. So we really thought she could help out. I will be sure to take lots of pictures.
As for now its quiet..they are asleep..I will be sure to post pics soon...promise.
