October brought us to 9 Months

We just had K's 9 month appointment with the doctors this past week. He is doing great except we have only gained maybe a lb if that..He has started to plateau. So now we are going back to do a weight check in 6 weeks just to keep and eye on him to make sure it is not something more serious.

He is now 26 1/2 inches long and weighs 16lbs 11 oz. He is most of the time one of the happiest babies we have had. Unless he is hungry and tired like most babies...but especially boys(hangry).

We are starting to eat more finger foods and chunky now that we are not sick. The teething however has not stopped at all and does not help with chunky foods. Today we had cut up apple pieces which went a lot more smoothly than the cheerios he had tried yesterday. Like most babies at that age K was shoving the whole amount of cheerios in his mouth at one time.

K is now crawling around like a pro when he feels like it, but also turns back to his good pal army crawl..very dependable. The upper strength my boys have at this age is amazing.

He loves to babble, play peek a boo. Cars are very edible and he is the best hoover I know. Nothing on the floor is safe around K.

O:
My messy toddler...my sponge of knowledge, my sweet but aggressive O. My floor is covered in mega blocks and cars. The train track in the play room is scattered around. There is random shoes that have been worn at each part of the day all from my dear O.

Each day I hear happy songs, get to clean up messes made by O and his accomplice K. K copies O daily...which sometimes can not be a great plan. We are constantly battling emotions and learning new things. He always likes to know where I am like my shadow and is possibly the best little helper I know.

Our days start early with cuddles..since time change that could be as early as 4:30am. He loves to go on walks and explore. He misses his sister so much in fact he wants to ride on the bus with her. He loves his Pops and says goodnight to him while laying in bed asking where everyone is since he can no longer see us at the top of his lungs. Our days can be long, filled with fun but always ending with a story, cuddle and kiss.

We know our Abc's and sometimes count to 10. We love our siblings beyond measure and like to make lots of decisions each day. This time we are spending together as his sister gets to go to school is so cherished and special.

E:
She is becoming a big girl! E is now 47lbs and  40 1/2 inches tall!

School is going great when we are not sick. Building up the immunity the old school way by getting sick haha. If we would only stop holding our pee all day at school and go on the potty with her ECE. We re started a reward program again to entice her. I am a little bit worried about her getting a bladder infection. It is not like E to have accidents and she has been more than normal from holding it at school. Apparently our doctor calls it normal and it is termed Busy Girl Syndrome.

Her speech and reading is improving drastically. She loves school so much and has now even told us some names of friends in her class. She has been getting smiley faces from reading well at school and sings songs to her teacher. Usually singing means my guys are super happy.

Next week we go in to see how she is doing in person. It would be great however if some of the learned behavior stayed at school. All in time i guess. E loves to go to library day!

We are all loving fall and will post more pics soon. XOXO the Brants
