Hey y'all
Before it this month flies past me..I figure I should get my act together and write Miss A's 1 month/5 week blog post!
This month has certainly been one heck of a change from having 3 kids to 4. We were always busy..just busier...probably more noticeable due to the lack of sleep. Miss A is doing quite well..when we went to the doctors for her almost 1 month/4 week appointment she was weighing 8lb 10oz and 21inches in length. I would not be surprised that by the time we go back at 2 month is she is 10/11lbs by then. We are nursing like crazy..lasting anywhere from 2hrs-5hrs. Most nights this mama is getting 4hrs of sleep..sometimes more if I nap on the couch..that sometimes leads to feeling more tired than it is worth. If we could only get Miss A a little more consistent in timings...at least then the sleep would be more regular.
Her cheeks are filling out..she is growing every day so fast. This past week when my DH was in Texas for work she started to become more alert..turning when her mama or her YAYA were talking to her. Starting to tell little cooing stories and grunting lots in her sleep. I feel for the poor wee lass...her hair is starting to fall out at the top..it always grows back in but she looks like a little old man. She also is getting some cradle cap, peeling skin on her face with baby acne. We were not sure if was baby acne or exema. I am sure all her hair will grow back in and the baby acne will pass but as for now she is my sweet bumpy balding girl haha.
I have put most of her newborn clothes I had out away already and she has been wearing 0-3 and 3months clothing. We also had to up her into size 1 diapers due to how much she has grown. I have officially named us Miss A and the machine. Feeding her is way easier than all the other children. She latches better on one side but with a little fight we latch on both. We must be doing something right...I do not feel as stressed about Breast feeding and she is gaining!
We are constantly dealing with Sir K and jealousy..but also aggression against his sister. O just loves his sweet baby sister and kisses her all the time. Miss E just wants to show her off to the world..especially while grocery shopping...asking any passer by.
Once we are asleep we are good. Lots of hiccups to be had around here. Now if we could only get her to hold her own soother in ....for now we prop the blanket against it so she does not spit it out wanting it again. Her O face is definitely on point!Now only if we could keep newly climbing K from climbing our mountain table to help rock her or toss off the blanket!
