Here's what you missed with Miss E!
10 months old and boy oh boy have things changed around here! On the day she turned 10 months old she started to full blown crawl and also said mama for the first time clearly without yelling it. Normally I get "Maaaaaaaaa" screamed. Evie and I were walking around the block and she said it as we were coming back around the bend near our house. She only says it randomly right now, not quite as much as the singing da da da's I hear all day long but still nice to hear.
Crawling is one great big new adventure for her. We have to take all the toys out even of we have 10 or so around us. We have also lost two battles against the furniture in the living room and came out of the battles with battles scars to the head. Once was against the coffee table and the other to the organizer with cubes for the toys in the living room. The first one we caught in time with a ice pack and washcloth. The second wound is a big scratch in between her eyes/forehead. She caught the edge reaching for a toy..the table she crawl/ turned into really quickly. Mobility is big around here..we have been sitting up and scootching for awhile now, sitting and the standing up while holding onto other objects becomes a problem when we are too busy being curious instead of napping.
After the two head injury incidents we had happen this weekend we bought stuff to go around the coffee table corners and edging. The computer room door and bathroom door on the main level now stay closed for the time being...curiosity is too high! The dogs food dish is a big new interest..the dog however is not impressed with that or Evie's new found movement. The other day I watched the dog move 5 times within 2 mins due to Evie trying to chase her to pull her hair/ pet her and the more Heaven moved the funnier it was and faster Evie crawled towards her.
We have also started to mash her food..which is a big improvement. It definitely helps that she looks to have her 3rd tooth piercing through her gums. We can always tell when this is going to happen due to her temperament changing completely. She also has been waking up around 11pm most nights...completely freaking out an sitting straight up. I almost think she is having night terrors or nightmares and waking up all upset and then it takes her awhile to calm down since she is mad she is awake.
In less than two months she will be 1 year old and it will be Christmas again already. Hard to believe! This week will be Evie's first Halloween...EXCITING!!!!! I have some more pics to post later this week...I will wait until her costume pics are taken..so fun.
On other news which Doug and I are excited to start doing..we head back to the specialist this week on Nov 1st to see where we are at.....what's going on with my body and the steps we need to take to give Evie a Brother or Sister! We figure it took 3 years for miss E we are not wasting anytime...we only had to wait a month to get in and waited a week to hear about booking the app after faxing over the referral so we are very excited!!!
I will be sure to post some photos later this week and more news to come... Happy Halloween to all of your families!
