Hey Y'all!!!
How are you all doing? Hope you are having a great spring day! Today is a very special day. Not only is Miss E 16months old...but her its her Dad's bday today aswell. Today my husband is 32..woot woot!! Also a shout out to my Wee Twin Nephews who are 17months today aswell.
What's Up With Miss E?
Here is the downlow: We now are working on our 9th tooth coming in. I really do not know whether to be excited or not..due to its a molar and a top tooth. We seem to have more pain and sleepless nights with her top teeth. This mama is starting to have trouble sleeping on her own due to the babes...and Doug's lovely on call middle of the night calls. Fun!!!! She also had one of her bottom middle molars come in just recently. I feel it is one tooth after another..just the age I suppose.
We are zooming all over the place. We even have been for walks down the street with Daddy following closely behind or beside and have ventured out to the backyard since the snow has disappeared with our new ball from Easter. Uneven ground is not a friend of E's. We found we land on our bum quite easily. Lucky for us we have been learning to laugh off falls...due to half the time like other toddlers..they look drunk when they run too fast over toys and hills etc. We have bought E some new sandals and sneakers for this summer since we are now in size 4's. She wore out the pair of 3's we had for her and well the 2's some of them were never worn. When I say wore out..I mean they were like fabric shoes from Joe..super cute..but E well she wore a hole right through to her toe in the one shoe.
We love to eat finger foods..getting more and more adventurous. If you are at our house and have a banana..just be warned..it is no longer yours...it is now half hers and she will let you be well aware. I recently made E these toddler muffins that consisted of Zucchini, carrot and banana. She loves them!! E even makes sounds affects while eating them..kind of like BOB in the movie "What About Bob?" when he is at the dinner table. Doug and I have come to the conclusion that there may be a hole in E's leg..due to sometimes we do not know where she puts all the solids. Not that we overfeed her or let her completely pig out or anything..it just amazes us. Comes with the territory of running everything off that just got put into her little body.
We are now onto using a sippy cup for our 3 meals, 2 milk and water throughout the day/at lunch. One night bottle before bed of milk. Which I am not worried about it at all. Our family doc wants E to be off of bottles at 18months. I really just think she was not at home with her kids. Alot of things are based on studies..pfffttt is what I say to that. Children do things when they are ready and I think E is doing GREAT!!!
E is stretching out like a bean. Each day I either notice how much taller and longer her torso is or how long her hair is getting. Her looks are changing every day. Her eyes are now looking like a hazel colour. Which saddens this mama a wee bit...but all in all they are still soooooo pretty.
Her language is coming along very well. We are saying animal sounds, repeating milk and other common words we use daily. We know exactly what toy bin to take out to find certain toys and to put them back. When we facetime YAYA...my mom...or E's grandma she knows what bin to go into before the call connects to grab the teapot and cups to pour her some tea. The cute part is my mom has matching cups she found to match E's set to pretend to have some with E on her end. We are also a pro at the puzzles we have and know exactly what folders to go into on my Ipad to play her fisherprice apps.

Baby B # 2..Wk 25 day 4 Appointement:
Today we went and saw the doctor for our monthly baby check up. I am now up 5lbs from last time so I may have finally gained like 8 all together..which is good since I had lost almost 20 before hand. The heartbeat was very hard to find today. The doctor had to hold my wrist to count my pulse..he kept getting my heartbeat instead.
This baby is wild..kicks and rolls all the time. Starting to get a little awkward sometimes to bend or get comfortable. My hips are constantly getting stretched with yoga stretches so I can move. Thank goodness for Snoogle pillows or I would not be sleeping at all. Love the movement just not the pain when I need to readjust or get up to make bathroom trips through the night. What a change in each pregnancy eh.
E was all over the halls and into other offices as well while we waited making new friends. My blood pressure is great. The doctor gave me a prescription to use at my leisure for heartburn. I find tums do not really work that well for me and I believe since the little boy is so high up in this mama's tummy I am now getting a bit of acid reflux and heartburn. Sometimes I am completely fine and other days it does not seem to want to disappear. Everything is coming back at me..does not seem to matter what I eat.
I go back to the doctor in 4 weeks. In another 2 or so I have to register for the hospital already, YIKES!!! Going by so fast this time. I guess that is what happens when you have already been through it all and know what to expect. I have also been given the sheet to get my blood sugar test done...Yahoo!! So excited...NOT!! Hate that gross orange drink. Worse part is you can not even chug it down..makes you feel worse.
We are officially moved into the master bedroom and have most of the bedroom upstairs emptied out. If things calm down on Doug's on call week...we may even be able to start the patches and do the painting in Miss E's new room. We bought a purple for her walls called Mixed Berries by BEHR. So excited to decorate her room. We are making her forward facing bookshelves for a reading corner/play area in her room. We have a cube organizer for some toys and shelves for her walls. I am making her some cushions to sit or lay on and I have been doing some art work for her walls. LOVE IT!! After we get her room done we will be moving Miss E over into her new to us captains bed with a toddler bar about 1 1/2 months before the baby comes to get her used to her new room and bed.
