Happy January Y'all!
Hope you are all loving the cold snow and ice as much as we are..haha! Today was a busy day..tired and busy! Not only did Miss E, Doug and Myself not sleep most of the night we had a double doctors appointment for the kids.
Miss E:
Well Miss E is getting to be one big girl! She is now 28lbs 11.5oz and 35 inches tall. Every day I can not believe how much she is changing. Her hair is longer...looks are changing...she is taller. Her words are getting more clear to understand.
We are verbalizing some sentences and have the most amazing memory when it comes to small things. For instance she remembered where I placed a little people king from the night before and opened the container of little people just to pull the king back out to put it with her Klip Klop Castle..where she believes he belongs. We know how to ask for things like coloring or to get our hair done all pretty.
E is always singing me a new song and dancing around. It is a Opera some days. Food can hop..well most things hop according to E. Books are read in bed to fall asleep. Her blanket buddy Po..her Hippo has it's own unique personality. (He sleeps a lot according to Miss E).
Getting better at sharing with her brother and other children. When O is on the floor playing she will come read to him..even lend him Po..or get out every toy she knows O is allowed to play with. She even hugs and kisses O goodnight.
We have a crazy amount of teeth coming through all at once..once they are through and her poor little hoarse cough goes away we will be golden.
Captain O:
Yarrrr what a great appointment this young scallywag had today! Today was his 6 month appointment. Half a year has gone by since I gave birth to my handsome little fella. He is the most cuddly...giggly, boisterous lad who wants to move so badly.
He now weighs 18.7lbs and is 26.181 inches in height. That is right you read correct..there is only about 10 lbs difference between my 6 month old and 2 year old! He is the HULK...true story!!!! He is going to be a big guy anyway. I think he might be built bigger like my mom's dad and brother. Who knows though..he still is really young right. I am going to need a bigger fridge lol.
O is all over the place...turning back and forth getting stuck constantly. He wants to crawl sooooo bad! He carpet swims and gets stuck turning and gets mad..when you try and help and flip him in his floor toy he only rolls the other way and gets stuck again. He has this thing he does where if you push his feet he grabs the floor/blanket/floor toy...puts his bum up but slides forward with his face down to get moving forward. He also turns himself in circles...too funny!
O is onto Solids!!!! So far we have down Rice and Oat Cereal, Squash, Sweet Potato, Carrots, Apple, Prunes and Peas! He loves his Cereal! He makes lots of funny sounds..telling you that you are not doing it fast enough! Other things like Peas and Prunes..he hates..try's to gag himself and spits it out..we are unfortunately for him faster at putting it back in.
We had to do Apple and Prunes due to he was not pooping, plain and simple. He would push and scream and go a wee amount. So We had to add in some things that help him go. After a couple days of prunes and apples which he had from the get go, it was all cleared up. Besides his poor bum. We are creaming his wee bum due to it bleeding and being burgundy. It is clearing up slowly, its all a process.
Just today I also noticed O's teeth are starting to poke through. His two bottom I could feel for a bit now..but today we think we saw the start of one piercing through the skin. Makes sense with all the drooling and sucking/gnawing on everything. We are constantly pulling his hands out of his mouth. O gags himself on a daily basis.
Other than that O is healthy and Happy! Always laughing and smiling and watching the amazing world around him as he grows. Much love to all of you. I will be sure to post a couple post of pics.
