Hey y'all
A little later than I wanted to be typing this all up..but late is better than to have forgotten. Here we are in October and Miss A is 5 1/2 months old already.
Miss A is onto new adventures in food..we have had Barley, Oatmeal and Rice cereals, as well as prunes, peaches, apple sauce, peas, squash, yogurt and sweet potato. A loves food and is a great little eater. She chews and swallows like she has been doing it all along. We just have to hold her one hand while feeding her so she is not sucking on her two fingers. Her teeth bother her quite a bit, so much that she will use her hand over her soother a lot of the time. She is still getting a bottle roughly every 3-4 hours..sometimes longer in between. We have upped her amount to 5 oz in each bottle and she gets about 6-7 sometimes 8 a day..along with 4-6oz of solids a day depending on what she will take in before milk at a meal. Usually she will eat it all up and leave a bit of milk.
Right now she has a cold like the rest of my crew..on and off since E started school..we are quite drooly with teeth on top of that. She enjoys taking other peoples hands and chewing on them as well.
We are currently in 3-6 and 6 months clothing. Growing like crazy. I have had to put a lot of 3-6 away already.
She is trying to wiggle out of her floor toy..has no problem rolling back and forth and is trying to push with her legs and chest off the floor. She will be motoring around with the rest of our crew in no time. We are smiling and laughing...even ticklish at times. The other kids are enjoying making her laugh and smile and the little bits of baby talk. She even is giving raspberries/zubers and kisses. Which are sometimes full of tongue and slobber haha.
She is very aware of our surroundings and will turn to her name. She is usually calmed down quite quickly when picked up and has started to try to get our attention with different sounds and cries.
Miss A is napping a lot less lately. More awake time is a great thing but also has downfalls. Especially when we are not having bigger chunks of nap. We have been sleeping all night for a long time..but needs more help getting to sleep. She wants to see you there but not always actually helping her. Just to know you are close by.
Hard to believe in a couple weeks she will already be 1/2 a year old. She is such a happy part of our family and we all love her more each day!
