Hey Y'all,
I honestly have been trying to find the time to sit down and write up my blog. I feel it has definitely been delayed. Anyways today if I am sounding a wee bit silly..the lack of sleep I assure you is a great factor in why. We have been awake a lot just recently. Surprisingly not due to my newest addition K but from Captain O and his Pointer Teeth coming in. He is just beside himself in the middle of the night. I do not recommend..I repeat DO NOT..recommend you sleep in a bed with your toddler child! This may cause bodily harm, lack of sleep, slurring of words, needs of drinking a large amount of coffee and a need to have a large drink from the aftermath of the day.
K's last appointment was a couple of days after he had turned 1 Month. We took him and his brother O in the same day due to he needed to have his 18/19 Month appointment with a needle. K is growing before our eyes. At his appointment he weighed in at 10lb 1oz and was doing well in his height and overall well being. The doctor was quite impressed with his weight increase since the last checkup he had at 2 weeks he was 7lb 7oz. He also ironically has a larger sized head in proportion (daddy's head). His penis is healing nicely since he has been circumcised.
Since his appointment he seems to have shot up in growth even more. I started to pump for him earlier than I did with the other two children. He was getting too much from my over supply. I was always getting backed up. He was all over the place in feeds. He was choking on my milk and spitting up every time we would lay him down. Sooo now we feed him every 3-4hr 3-4oz at a time. He does about 8-10 feeds a day. He takes bottles like a pro..the timing and work is definitely more and now my DH gets up with me in the middle of the night so that we can all go back to bed sooner. But overall we are doing well. We have always been busy. We are different busy. This time of chaos only lasts for so long. The crying with no smiles only lasts for sooo long. Or at least that is what I tell myself..haha.
He now has some cradle cap that we have under wraps with a cream we also used on O. His hair is receding back like his Grampa's! K's skin is evening out. He now has some more awake times..He is a lot like his sister where he does not want to miss out on all the action..which can be trying when you are trying to get a million other things out. He will be a kid like his sister where he will definitely have to cry it out later on.
Overall we love having him as our newest family member. His sister is kissing him to death and tells me every time he crys. While O always brings him toys and wants to be right beside me when feeding K.
O 19/18 month Check up:
O is doing great beside the teething. We are definitely adjusting to not being the baby and having a little brother. Not to mention the chaos of trying to pack and get ready for the Big move day.
O now weighs 27lbs 1oz. He is around 33 inches tall. He still has a large head like his daddy. His penis is looking better since the last time it was checked out. He still has two oil glands I have to clean out every so often that will eventually go away according to the doctor. He took the needle no problem. You would have thought someone blowed on him..not a feeling or grimace.
We now have him on Sippys of all kinds, straw cups etc. He still wants to steal K's bottles since he feels like they belong to him. Now when I am pumping he will come over and poke me or lick the piece attached to my boob. It's quite funny to see. The other day he ran off with the left over bottle from K and hid near our front gate drinking what was left over saying mmmmmm. What a boy! Makes us laugh due to the nurse at our other office we were seeing asked if I was tandem feeding the boys. If you can IMAGINE! My dh and I laughed hysterically and said no..her response was "you can". NEH NEH NEH....he has Teeth and his way past the age I would ever breastfeed by boob. I figured I did well giving him breastmilk until 10 1/2 months. KRIKEY!!!!!!
Then there is MISS E!!!
Threenager has hit the Brant household hard! OTAYYYYYYY! A phrase I hear so often with her hands on her hips..OTAY MAMA! We are in the NO..im Fine stage. No I do not want to. I am Miss Independent....but I need help. Unless she made the decision we are wrong. Power stuggles of who is in charge. Lately we have had a couple potty accidents. I am sure it is due to all the change and packing etc.
We drove by our new place last weekend and she told me after finally seeing it. " I no like my new home". In direct response my dh told her that you will have to learn to because that's where we are moving to. It may be different when she gets to see it in person on inspection day. This is the same child who loves everything lately..including her POOP.. I lub/lum....(we do not say V's yet) my poop mama. Oh dear!
Shut the front door!!!! My threenager tried bacon and lunch meat and likes it!!!Oh and Pizza! This is the girl who refuses to try new things and only naps when she wants to..even if she is almost falling asleep on the couch beside me. She assures me she is Fine.
We have sooooo much fun lately. I really hope its a phase..not just the age. I could write forever on all our adventures if I had time. As for now I must go get O before K wakes up again to Eat..while is playing with a blanket instead of sleeping. On the bright side I got one box packed today and the bathroom is clean. I would say the floor is..but O decided we needed to grow cheerios seeds everywhere...happy planting!
If I get a chance I will post some new pics...but if not you can always follow me on instagram!
If you read this blog from the very first post it will show you all the ins and outs and obstacles my husband took to conceive our world our family. It will take you through our pregnancy's and how we are doing month to month..updates on our children. Hopefully this will help others learn there is hope and other people out there with similar issues in trying to conceive.

KLB's Birth Story
Hey Y'all,
I know I have been slacking on the writing the past two appointments apparently. I have a reason you see. This past Saturday Jan 17th KLB (Kolton Levi) our newest son and myself just got released from the hospital after a roller coaster of a birth experience.
At 38 weeks I went in for our weekly doctors appointment. We were surprised we had in fact made it all the way to check day. I call it that due to it is where they see if you are already at all dilated. I in fact was already at 3cm. Which does not seem like a large amount but I went into the hospital at 4cm/5cm with O..but my water had broke on its own ahead of time. With E....I had lost my plug for multiple days and was in labor at home for a long time..having contractions at home until 12:30am.
Wednesday two weeks ago after my appointment I started to have contractions around 12:30pm..they slowly continued throughout most of the day and night. I had let my parents know how the appointment and as they started to get more consistent had let them know I think it is going to happen tonight or very shortly. Little did I know what trouble we would go through to bring K into the world.
We also let my friend Holly know and she was working late that evening. We were not rushing. I hate when people do not listen to their bodies and go in way to early. I did not think I was going to be one of those ppl. We went into the hospital just after 10 sometime on Wednesday and when I got there my contractions were all over the place..sometimes 5 minutes apart and intense and other times 15. I was 4cm when they had checked me. So they told me without the head being back where the doctor felt it at my appointment all I can do is wait for a bit and walk to see if things pick back up again.
Well let me tell you...we walked and walked and walked some more. They asked me if I wanted to go home..which was not happening with two toddlers who can not watch mom in pain and I would not be sleeping at home anyways. Well we spent time walking, watched some tv..doing yoga poses to help move the baby down farther. My contractions continued to be all over the place. The first nurse I had was very nice..and felt so bad considering how far I had come and still by the time her shift had ended I was not officially admitted yet and only 4/5cm by then. I continued to be 5 for a long time and sat in the first check out area for most of the day. I was told they would not break my water or give me a epidural until I was in more active labor since it kept changing its mind and they had 4 inductions ahead of me booked in and a c-section taking priority.
At one point in the middle of the night they gave me a shot of gravol and another pain med to help a bit..thinking it would help me sleep some and relax so things would move a little more quickly. We all were in for a very long day. Well by 8:30 the doctor on call came and checked me and I had stalled..before that I was in the tub for a bit..which i recommend but as for me it stopped my contractions. Felt amazing for pain but not the reaction I was looking for.
We started to walk again...do more intense yoga poses and squatting for longer periods of time. At 12:30 when the doctor came back in from pipc where I was being followed I was farther down..but as of then she could not break my water yet. The head was back up again and she was afraid that the cord would come down first instead of the head. I could feel K move and roll inside of me on and off during this whole thing. I was at 5/6 for the longest time.
Since my contractions were stopping and starting it took my body longer to dilate properly. I was allowed to eat breakfast and lunch..which I ate a small amount of trail mix at lunch since I was afraid I may get sick. A lot of time went by before the doctor would be coming back from the PIPC office downtown. They had moved me into the room I would be delivering in but was still not admitted until later on that evening. I continued to do more things to help bring my contractions back. You have to be in active painful labor before they will admit me or check me..so I thought here goes nothing! I did some more yoga poses that my dear friend and awesome Doula/Business Owner Shaunacy had sent me when I had text her earlier that day. Sitting or I should say squatting in the birthing stool is another thing I did this time around..which works great..but very painful when actually trying to get through contractions. After doing one of the yoga poses that looks a like child's pose I started to get more intense contractions again and sat up in another Buddha type pose to help bring the head back down again.
I remember continuously asking if they could check me again...or break my water to speed things along..or give me the epidural to relax my body to move things faster. My body I felt was fighting against me with how much starting and stopping it was doing. It got to the point where my contractions were starting again and sometimes starting and ending..they gave me another shot for the pain. I believe it was painful for my sleep deprived husband, mom and dear friend to watch me. For enduring such a long labor..and believe i know there is ppl who have labored for longer than the 29 and a bit hours I did...but during the whole process it feels like you trying so hard and failing. It got to the point before they gave me the drugs that my contractions were so intense that it was all I could do to stand the pain. I was exhausted and crying it hurt so much. It usually takes quite a bit to make me cry for pain reasons. After the drugs were given to me I felt that it did nothing..but my mom and dear husband seemed to think it helped a small bit for my disposition changed. I started to hummm or buzz instead of cry..and breath...but mostly humm and buzzz..due to how intense my body was working for this dear child.
I remember my friend Holly and Mom going to talk to the nurses about my condition. It was hard to watch. They had left me that day due to other planned inductions and a C-section. It felt like what could be hours..and the doctor was not going to be back until 4-4:30. Meanwhile 5:30 rolled around and that is when she came in to check on me. I remember hearing "Ohhhh you are buzzing that is what we want to hear you doing!". At that point I just really wanted her to check me. The nurse had checked me earlier that day but I was still not where they wanted then and the doctor needed to be there. At this point she checked my water and to see where the head was. The head was now off to the side a bit...and as she was checking so they could give me my epidural finally..my water broke all over her arm and the bed. It did not stop. I like to think of it as Noah's Arc....every time the nurses changed the pad..it did not stop.
At that point they got in touch with the anesthesiologist to give me the epidural. Where they ask you a million questions and give you the needle and get you all set up for the pain. My mom and dear husband have seen the needle before...Holly had not..it was all she could do to look at how large it was. I had been waiting for the epidural for so long that it was great we were finally at that point. When she checked me and my water broke..after all that time I was some how still at 7cm dilation. Normally the epidural speeds everything up. Not this time..everything slowed down and almost stopped again. Soo after a bit we were asked if we would like something to force contractions. So then I was give Pitocin to force my contractions. I never and I mean never wanted to take it..but Doug verbally said.."Just give her the damn drug". He may have been a little unimpressed they even asked us since we had gone through so much to get this far.
I was given the Pitocin to force contractions around 7:30pm. Things started to pick up and around some time later on (little foggy on time) I was fully dilated. They called the doctor in and joked about practice pushing. I told them before not to tell me to practice push. The doctor came in around 9:45pm and checked me again and said I was fully dilated and the head was sort of there but not quite where she wanted it to be. She started to manipulate my stomach to try and put the baby in the right position to get the baby properly into the birthing canal. Before that it was off to the right side. Around 10:02 we started to push. Each time I pushed the doctor told me to stop. The first push K did a full 180 turn. He was facing upwards and turned to face fully down. As I pushed and stopped each time she was turning his head and body. When the head was out the cord was fully wrapped around his head two times. The baby's hands were in up looking like he was trying to pull it off.
At this point she had me push and stop, each time I pushed she would unwrap the cord a bit more. At 10:06 he was fully out and born. Hard to believe he was pushed out in 4 mins after 29 hours of labor. At this point..there was no crying! She smacked his bum a couple times to see if he would cry. They immediately rushed him over to the table to be suctioned out and checked over. K was not breathing at this point due to all the mucus in his system with the fast delivery and the cord being wrapped around his neck. They called in one of the special care nursery nurses just to be safe while they worked on him. He had to be given some oxygen and the doctor turned him over and massaged/smacked ticked him off to get him to cry and breath. He then became very alert, crying and ready to fully be checked for his apgar test which went really well. K was 7lb 1oz and 20inches in length I believe. I would have to check haha.
The Delivery Nurse then got all of his measurements and we took some freshly born pictures with baby K. They took off the iv's I did not need anymore and after a bit got my stuff together to move us to the maternity ward. We were moved into a semi private room. That night there was a lot of babies being born so the ward was really full. I was put into a room with a new young mom. I am all about new moms and understanding. However the girl I was put into was platinum blonde..superficial. She called down to the desk for the nurses to change a diaper for her in the middle of the night. K woke up about 4 times to feed that night/morning and we were up in the wee morning around 5am..he got back to sleep but I did not. Lucky for me after hearing the other girl buzz all night and having feedings she was moved into Semi-private the next day. I did not get another girl in with me until 1am. We came home from the hospital Saturday since they could not discharge me at 10pm.
Monday Jan 19 we went for our 3 day check up which was almost 4 days old for K. When we left the hospital on Saturday he was 6lb 110z and by Monday he was 6lb 13oz. He had only lost 5% body weight and less than 3% by Monday. He passed all hearing tests and blood work for jaundice. He had his tongue clipped at the hospital and then again on Monday since it was still not fully done. We go back for another check up this upcoming Wednesday where he will be a day from being 2 weeks old!
We are doing great! A little tired considering we may not be fully caught up on sleep. He is doing well all around. Lasting anywhere from 2-4hrs. Sleeps through the noisy chaos of our house. We were always busy..just different busy. Evie loves K to bits! Always kissing him and asking to hold him. O loves K too! He wants to share all of his toys. He is a bit jealous but overall they will rule the roost together.
As for us we finally sold our place and bought a brand new house closer to our parents! New exciting things all in a week! I will write more soon..you know on our Threenager and Tornado.

36 Weeks
This past Wednesday on New Years Eve we had our 36 Week 1 day doctors apt.
The baby is definitely dropping and getting lower...fitting for New Years Eve..don't ya think? We were checked out again by an intern at the PIPC clinic. I asked about getting checked for dilation given my past pregnancies and how far along we are..also mild random contractions and pressure and small pin prick spotting. They ask you every week if you are..so we informed them.
They did not want to check me out due to not wanting to upset anything to put me in that direction. Captain O came at 37 weeks 1 day so it would not surprise me if anything happens sooner than later.
My Strep came back negative again..so far this pregnancy we are doing well. I am up to 130.2 lbs and was at 128.9 last week..so not gaining much or quickly any more. My measurements are showing the baby is definitely dropping and getting ready.
So far no Baby! Which is great because I wanted to avoid New Years all together. One holiday baby is enough for this house hold. O would have been born on the long holiday in August if he made it to his due date.
Most of my stuff is packed for the baby and myself. Started washing bottle pieces and such. Now only if this house would sell itself so we can live in it like normal until we move and such. Going to be fun trying to show the house once the new baby arrives..more stuff will be brought out that we will be using constantly. Harder to hide things.
We go for another check up next Wednesday Morning..if we make it there. We will keep y'all posted.
Happy New Year! Love the Brants

Home Stretch
I have been sitting here trying to think of what to write and call this blog post. I can see how many ppl read the posts..the last 2 pics and all sadden me..as it was 9 and 7 people..compared to the 40-80 plus views I once had. Everyone either does not have the time..or is bored I guess..Saddens me..and still for my family who is far away..I write.
Yesterday we went for our 35wk appointment..or 37..who knows lol...dates right! Everything is going great! Blood, weight, size and position. I even had my Strep swab done for me this time by a medical student. Which is completely a different experience than we have gone through before. Previously I have had to swab myself each time at the specialist. I am hoping it turns up negative..as I was positive with E and that means I have to be given antibiotics before the baby is born during labor in the hospital. We met a different doctor from the PIPC team yesterday since ours does the Wednesday Morning appointments and they are only open 2 days this week. We go back on New Years Eve Day next week.
We still do not know the sex and will not until it is born..Makes it interesting for the bags I still have not packed and getting things ready again. I will definitely have to bring neutral and both gender sleepers to the hospital. E calls the baby..small B in mama's Tum. Just think of it as a huge surprise!!! We really do not know when this baby will come or the gender..haha. Makes it harder to prepare especially around the holidays, E's birthday and trying to sell our house at the same time. Anyone want to buy a townhouse???
Tomorrow I will have a 3 year old! Time has really gone by fast. Hard to believe that 3 years ago today I started to go into labor thinking it was braxton hicks and went into the hospital at 12:30 am to have her at 5:07am Christmas Day Morning. She amazes us each day. She is smart and creative and learning so much right in front of our eyes. Our little Rainbow baby..who is now a Threenager.
O is well a TornadO! He is dumping constantly..for fun..not to play. We are always running into something. The boy needs a helmet 24/7. Last week he split his chin open on our bathtub. I for sure thought he was going to need stitches to stop it from bleeding. You know the phase where they appear drunk when they are healthy..but then you add on the unbalancing of teething and a head cold. Makes for a fun day or in this case month in our house. Our little parrot is becoming quite the talker and man does he have a fun personality. However the drama of our threenager has been watched and copied by our 17 month old O and he should be put into acting. Perfection of the lip pout here we come. Especially noticed when he does not get his own way or is told no.
Tonight our elf Shimmer is flying back to the North Pole. Santa comes tonight and tomorrow is E's birthday. We are having a Frozen party for her this Saturday with a few friends and Family. We are so blessed to have a some quality daddy time with my DH since he has been working crazy hours..for his work and has not had holidays since well 2 summers it seems or Christmas. Family time here we come. This past Sunday..besides our showing for the house we got to have a unplanned surprise Christmas Gathering with my Brothers Family, my Parents and our friend Holly. We are so thankful and blessed. We are sticking close to home considering what happened with the past two births..E was 2 weeks early and O 3 weeks early. If the original date is right who knows when this baby will make the grande debut. Could even be New Years!
I hope you all have a amazing Christmas spent with Family and Friends. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I may post after E's party...since we are doing Frozen and all!!!

31 Weeks Dr.Apt 16 months and a Threenager
Hope you are all having a fun November! I just realized that this is the 2nd baby apt I have not blogged about. There is still time right! haha
So today we went to see the doctor for baby #3. Going to the Partners in Pregnancy is definitely a different experience than the last two pregnancies. I am currently seeing my regular doctor who looks after our family but at a different building downtown. Basic apt..I get weighed...I have gained 2lbs since two weeks ago. I am now 225.8 and was 223 something two weeks ago. They check my blood pressure which is quite funny to a toddler who thinks she is Doc Mcstuffin's off the Tv show. They do the regular babies heart beat and measure my stomache....ask me a couple questions about how I am doing and we are on our way..oh and I get to pee in a cup and test my own Pee!!! YEAH!
Everything is going well. My still estimated due date is the 28th of Jan..so anytime after Christmas we could be having our youngest being born. I really hope to not be 4 weeks early but you never know. O was 3 weeks early and there was no stopping his arrival..even on the hottest week of the summer! I handed in my registration for the hospital today..considering I am 31 weeks already...probably a little late on that one. I could have anywhere from 5-7weeks left I would say. Isn't something they always come sooner and faster. We have another appointment for the wee babe..whom sex will still be undetermined..in two weeks.
We are busy busy here..between trying to finish Christmas shopping..getting things planned and ready for E's 3rd birthday..since I want to be prepared..Doug is off to Texas for a week shortly..We have a 80th Birthday Celebration to go to this weekend....oh ya...and we have our house up for sale. I packed a lot of things to show the house..do you think I can find some things I need now..nottta! Including the tree skirt is missing for the tree!
16 months:
My sweet little adventurous toddler Captain O is 16 months. He is into everything. We now have the tree up and we are exploring daily how things work and which sounds come from certain actions. I placed some metal jingly bell snowman deliberately on the bottom of the tree so I would know when either of them were playing with the ornaments. It has been up about a day in a half..they come in handy. We did not tie the tree to anything so I am hoping the sound is enough notice to catch them and get their attention to be gentle and it not fall over.
Right now O is teething like crazy..I swear the next time one of you sees him it will look like the boy almost has a full mouth full! His poor bum is soo red and he is constantly stealing his sisters drinks and snack..just happening to be apple juice which makes his bum worse when teething.
It is amazing how much faster he picks up on words and actions then E did. He is repeating open door and close door and "row row". He loves to tell me when he wants a SNACK..which with O if you have not been around a lot..could be all day all the time. The boys legs are hollow either that or I am not sure where it all goes..he does not stop or slow down..so it must be burnt off momentarily after it is inhaled.
We are amazed by small things. We love to talk on the phone..we have the cutest bum wiggle dance and the couch is no longer safe to put things up higher away from him..for when you are not looking he is getting up and down on his own. Even the remotes are phones to O. The one day I heard a conversation which I believe should of been with daddy. It went a little like this "Hi, Hello, Daddy...work..bye". Then he hangs up the remote/phone. We have also witnessed him using two phones one on each side..which unfortunately with the way daddies job is lately is being witnessed a lot more often. Also when O is ready for bed..he grabs his buddies comes to give them to you or waits at the stairs to go up. Melts your wee heart right!
Miss E AKA the Threenager:
We are big on NO's, Attitude, Agreesion, Hitting/Throwing, Time Outs..Tantrums...the Word Now instead of please and being Miss Independent!!!
We are not quite 3 yet..1 more month to go..but you know how you really want them to talk and use their words more. Sometimes..quiet and hugs are much better..ha ha. We are working on patience and using proper words. I find I talk to myself a lot..or it seems that way when you have to repeat things 20 times. I now sound like my mother. "Look at me when I am talking to you"..."are you listening to me". I may have to do time in's soon...time outs sometimes do not work and are more work on my part when I have to put her back there 5 times..or remove O from bothering her in Time out.
We have started to choose when we will have a nap..sometimes If i lay up there long enough with her..she has no choice and gives in...the days are limited. But we are getting up at 5/5:30..sometimes 4:30...and this mama..well that part of the morning still requires some sleep...especially if we are going to skip nap...seems like it is time to make quiet time boxes...you know in all the spare time I have.
Decorating the tree last night with her after nap was done was very fun. She loves to help and is a great helper when wanting to be. This year she handed me all the balls for the banister garland. She helped put O and Her decorations on the bottom portion of the tree. To a child this small it is a amazing time of year. So magical! I can not wait to deliver the Elf on the Shelf we are adopting this upcoming weekend. We are going to do a North Pole Breakfast and the Elf arriving E named her Shimmer and knows she is on her way soon. I will be sure to take lots of pictures and post. If you follow me on instagram I probably will post daily..here may be on weekends.
We had our first snow fall and melting. E loves SNOW! She built a snowman at Yaya and Papa's for the first time with her Cute Pop as she calls my dad. We got some really cute pictures. The getting her back inside is the hard part..we do not want to go back in once out playing..even if its freezing.
I will be sure to write a small blog shortly with some Elf pictures.
