E's 2!!!!

Hey Y'all...

First of all I want to thank the family and friends who came to Miss E's 2nd Bday Party today. You know who you are...we are ever so grateful. E had a great time and loves her gifts.

I can not believe we have a two year old!!! We are so blessed each day seeing the world through her eyes, learning and exploring the small things and making new memories. E has started to put more sentences together. We can start to clearly make out more words each day. Which is great!!

Lalala Baaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbyyyyyy! Are just a few songs you may hear coming from my sweet babes mouth. The other day she serenaded me with a song about balls. Arms stretched out in the air like a tenor singing a ballad at the top of his lungs. She is always singing and dancing..and is sure to take a bow when it is a really good performance.

Growing like a weed is a understatement when it comes to the way things are changing in sizing for her. E grows taller each day and I am continuously finding new things that either fit which didn't or need to be put away for being too small.

We are becoming quite the Ham lately. Trying to make us laugh. She would rather run to the couch and make us come to get her than listen when we ask. Everything is a funny game when you are two. We make up songs daily..pretend our food is growly animals..create play dough sculptures..pats me on the head sand guides me places to see things.

Soon in a couples weeks or so we are going to start the potty training process. We have a doctors apt on the 16 of jan so we will have more updates soon..hope you had a great Chtistmas..xoxo

5 months old

Hey Y'all

Hope you are all enjoying the freezing cold weather. It suits us fine to stay in the warmth of our house when it is this cold out. Unfortunately that is not always possible when you need groceries..finishing Christmas odds and ends and are trying to get things together here and there for our soon 2 year old birthday party.

Mr.O is 5 months old! Where has the time gone???? Hard to believe in another month I will have a little wee man who is already have a year old and a two year old daughter. Starts to make you feel old..either that or younger because really you get to experience the daily miracles and wonders through their eyes.

O is trying to get going...zoom zoom...He really wants to crawl and sit up badly. He is trying to sit up while in his bouncy chair or swing. We have started to put him in the jumperoo and exercauser which he LOVES! It is so much fun to watch him bounce the day away...he gets such momentum and smiles across his face. He is also trying to put his bum in the air and carpet swims in his floor toy when placed on his stomach for tummy time.

He sings and talks all the time...especially to his sister. The belly laughs and squeals are the most enjoyable sounds in this house...much better than the crying and tantrums any day hands down. Balances things out more or less. O likes to mimick facial movements and sounds when we repeat them back at them. He is quite the go getter!

He is still eating the same amount but we are about to soon change that this week to come when my husband is on holidays. Not because I can not do it without him..but he was not home the first time with Miss E and it is nice that he will be on vacation and have the opportunity to have a front row seat. If you have never witnessed a baby trying cereal for the first time..it is quite a experience not to miss out on. The facial expressions..trying to figure out how to move their tongue and where to put it..trying not to choke..remembering to swallow. Some babies..inhale it..others push most of it out..all trial and error and one big game of life!

My handsome little guy is growing so fast..changing his looks every day. He is slowly getting better at napping here and there. Starting to self soothe, talk to sleep. Loves to watch and talk to his sister. They love to kiss and hug each other back and forth. If you come to visit..besides me losing hair...hold on to yours..O pulls it and does not let go..it is no wonder I am losing all of mine. He is not done it to E yet..but it is coming shortly. Last night he had his whole fist in my husbands mouth and a grip on his lip and thought it was funny.

He is definitely not teething at all (insert sarcasm here). Besides the regular drooling festivities..O has decided his hands are the most delicious thing in †he world apart from breast milk. We are constantly stopping himself from shoving his hands down the back of his throat. Good thing Santa is definitely bringing him a teether..Top of O's christmas wishlist. Object to replace hands for chewing on.

Music and Books are huge in this household and we thrive on it. E has been reading to O recently..and loves to watch her and the books. There may be a lot of gibber gabber..but he understands her somehow.."sibling baby code". He loves to sing songs with hand movements and play peek.

I would write more..but I am being summoned through monitors in my room. Not sure what else to update on..will post some pictures soon..Miss E is turning 2 in 9 days after all and there are celebrations/parties to be had..plus Christmas. Love to all

Miss E is 23 Months old!

Hard to believe that in less than a month now we will be the proud parents of a two year old girl!!!! The fun already has started with the tantrums, meltdowns, special moments, new experiences and growth each day. Each and every day we are thankful..tired..but very thankful!

Lately I am doing long hug holds..and by hug holds I mean sometimes that is what it takes for Miss E to calm down from a tantrum in which she forgot she was mad or frustrated about..but still is going like the Tasmanian Devil. You know all animated like looney toon's...with all the drool, tears, screaming and misunderstanding of the issue due to lack of words.  I also mean hug holds..by not letting go when hugging until she does..because you never actually know how long they needed a hug for. There is a saying that goes something like be the last one to let go..for you never know how long a  child actually needed the comfort that only a hug can bring. This momma loves hugs so that is just great with me!

We are the pickiest eater as of right now. We were the greatest veggie eater before..and now we are lucky if she eats any veggie other than Potatoes in any form, peas, broccoli and the occasional Zucchini/blueberry muffins I make her. The only meat she will currently eat are hot dogs, chicken nuggets and sometimes really soft steak. We used to be able to trick her and do anything ground...but that has since changed..unless the meat is in certain things. She loves berries and yogurt, cottage cheese, apple sauce....fruit you name it! If you ever ask E what she wants for snack..she will hold her mouth like Jean Cretian( missed spelling) mouth crooked and make the FFFFF sound for Fishies.

Dancing Machine!!!! My little girl is a dancing machine..and she loves to sing and hum now. Very entertaining..music or non..we are grooving. Also if you have something she can make dance..that will happen to. Infact just recently I have witnessed little people horse and cows dance, her baby dolls, elmo...felt ornaments and clothes. Loads of fun!

I love the age where they love to help. This past weekend...E helped us put Christmas Ornaments on the Tree...and she also helped me make cookies by dumping all the measured out ingredients into the bowl and stirring them together. We will help pick up toys most of the time. She loves to do things to help O..and shares with him on a regular basis...even if he can not play with those toys or eat cheerios.

Almost 2 year olds are parrots..which is great for learning. I sometimes wish she would just come out with full sentences....which I know may come to bite me later on...but sometimes I think it would be easier to calm her down etc if she could actually tell us what happened or is wrong/frustrating. Until then...we will keep helping her learn and hugging her closely.

Some fun pictures to come shortly..xoxo

O's 4 month Post!

Oh November...where I now have a 4 month old baby boy and a just over a month before my daughter turns 2!!!!

This past Saturday O turned 4 months old. Today we went for his 4 month check up. He is now a little less than we thought we had him weighed in at...but not all scales convert ounces right. Mr. O now weighs 16 lbs 2 oz not the 17lbs we thought he was originally from our home scale. He is getting super tall in height. He is now 24.6 inches in length. According to the super silly percentages they have based on who knows what in comparison he is considered short..I beg to differ..we have him in some 3-6, 6 month and 6-9 month onsies.

O has found his voice!!!! He is talking to everyone all the time. He watches us walk across the room. He loves to watch his busy big sister who flys in and out of his sight constantly and try and get her attention. I can just see it now..E loves to kiss and hug O..well soon he is going to be right in her face and pulling her hair very shortly.

We are drool city lately. If you do not know about Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces..do some research..I swear by them. The lovely people of GLOW..in Peterborough sell them. After using them on both children we would not have it any other way.

I have to say O is much more smiley when I come into his room to get him and pick him up to bring him downstairs than our daughter ever was. He kicks his arms and his face lights up and almost a giggle comes out. We are squealing, cooing and chatting to his toys in the floor mat.

We have been feeding him 6 6oz bottles a day. We were adding a tsp of rice cereal into his morning bottles so he would make it 3 hrs in between feeds. It was working our really well until the other day when for some reason O did not poop for 2 1/2 days. Poor little guy was having trouble with gas...not pooping and was not drinking due to being backed up.

O is doing really well holding his head up. When we put him on the floor he looks like is carpet swimming or ready to be on the move. I am now starting to see why the doctor told us we will have to put on our running shoes for him.

I was really impressed on how my boy did with all the shots and oral vaccinations today. Today he got two needle and one oral vaccination.

Soon if he is still not making the 3 hours consistently We will be starting baby cereal sooner than later. My sweet little babe is growing so fast!Write again soon!

E's 22nd Month Post!

Here I am again writing to you all later than what I had wanted. But in my defence it is rare that I get 5 minutes where they are both sleeping at the same time.

E is growing up so fast! She is now almost a week past 22 months old. Her Pointer Teeth are finally breaking through slowly. I say finally because it has been over 3 months coming lol. Also we have all been up with her for 4 days in a row at 3am due to her poor painful mouth from the 4 of them trying to break skin at the same time. OUCH! Monday Doug got her back out at 12:30am..last time we were up with O for some reason...fed him and back to bed we go. You never realize how much sleep you actually need or how little you can some how still function off of until it is not there.

Everyday E is doing something funny..having a new toddler moment or tantrum if you will. Testing us daily...but making memories all the same. She is continuously trying to sound out or repeat new words. Right now there is one little phrase that she repeats that Doug and myself can not figure out if we tried..but she knows and thinks it is funny. We get " All done" a lot..or evil laughter and then shortly followed by " oh no!", "It was me" or "I did it". At least she is honest right?

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch near us this past weekend and it was so much fun...cold but fun. E loved it. She got to go on a tractor wagon ride to the patch and back..pick out her own pumpkin for her and a small one for O. She played in the sand, saw some animals, a pumpkin cannon. Next year she will be old enough to go through the mazes and stay longer. It was really nice and not too expensive for a family outing. I love carving pumpkins..so that night we scooped out all the guts from the pumpkins..E helped...and even wanted to eat the orange insides. We had to stop her since she liked it so much. It was really exciting helping Daddy put a face on her Kin as she is calling them...or everything is Ba! The hard part was telling her that she was not allowed to take the pumpkin to bed with her. So she said goodnight to the Kin...and I mean she blew it a large kiss and said night night and waved to it. The great pumpkin would be Proud!!

E kisses O all the time..and he loves to smile and watch his busy...silly older sister. Well right now if she kisses him..he sticks his tongue out a lot since both of my kids were tongue tied and had them clipped that is normal..plus he is teething to already. Well when she kisses him she giggles after and wipes her cheek off to tell me he kissed her back..it's quite cute and funny to watch.

Every day we explore in new ways. Trying new things...testing new boundaries. Hard to believe my little ladybug will be 2 in under 2 months..heads up Y'all christmas is on the way! I am slowly moving things higher and higher out of reach...for she is taller each day it seems. Even E's looks are slowly changing. So excited to tell you for a couple weeks now I finally have E using the Signs for Please and Thank you. Yeah!!!!! Mostly she uses them to ask for the iPad..she calls it "Pad" I have tons of games for her on mine and Doug has a couple..well if she wants it she will be very persistent on asking or sit between you and the "iPad" so you can not use it lol.

I will post again soon. Hopefully not too far away..no promises haha. Definitely some Halloween Pictures..E is going to be a Cupcake! As for O and I its a surprise hehe. xoxo
