2 month app and more

I really got to get back on track on this blog business..but as all moms and new moms know..sometimes time is something to be desired...especially when it is something other than looking after your family and house.

On Feb 18th we had an open house for Evie..was supposed to be kind of like a shower but more free flow to let ppl come and go as they please..left it open to more ppl to come and have a cuddle with Evie. Needless to say it was kinda sad in the sense that a lot of ppl who said they were going to be here were not..some ppl were rude enough or too busy to even give us a response to whether they were coming or not. Poor Holly had made 40something cupcakes as a thank you for guests that came...we had TONS left over...so much we had to give them away to ppl. I am kinda a little disappointed to be honest. The roads were not great in the morning..but we had friends come from Whitby..so really ppl in town did not have that for an excuse. We had also posted something at my work for others who were not at the front end or if they wanted to stop in for a visit and cuddle with Evie..and no word of a lie ...not one person from my work came by. We are thankful for the ppl who did show up and also let us know why they could not attend and would like to see them for a visit soon. Anywho....in the past...I just really do not want to hear anyone complain about not seeing her or meeting her ect after Holly and I going to all the trouble of hosting and putting the whole thing together as an opportunity for a nice visit.

On Feb 27th..we got to go to the doctors for our 2 month app..needles and all. Evie now weighs 9lbs 11 0z's...and I believe it said that she was 23inches long. The weight is just an estimate due to she was wiggling all over the cold scale and that is what it said while was still for a couple of seconds. She is growing so fast!!! I really thought that she would weigh more than that...and if you see how fast she is growing you would know why.

We had two needles that day. The regular age required boosters at that age and also an oral for a virus that is covered in babies for excessive Diarrhea. The oral med however takes 10 days to get out of their system and I believe that is why we are having such a hard week. It has been a very tear filled house this week..after the needles ect. Keeping in mind that we also started to let her sleep through the night so were are on a very odd new non-shedule schedule. Meaning whatever time we wake up in the morning is when we first feed and base the days feedings on that ending the last one around 11pm. On the bright side we are sleeping through the night..except for one odd night...still fighting the naps until the end of time..but we are getting a little less hours of broken up sleep. I believe she may be having nightmares tho. She crys in her sleep around the same time every morning..sometimes just lightly crying and other times she is kicking and flailing her arms while scream crying...we will go and check on her but she is completely sound asleep..weirdest thing ever!!!

We are feeding very well now..not using the shield at all...also only having a top up at the last feed of the day...which she only sometimes takes all of it. We are making some coos and smiling tons. The one day Doug said she laughed at something he did in Walmart..I did not hear or see it unfortunately. Our hair is growing back very well and we love to play with some of the new toys we have purchased from Babies-R-Us...or have been given by some of our dear friends. We have now packed up a couple of boxes of clothes that are already too small for us to wear.

Here is one of the pics of Evie and her Twin Cousins Zachary and Cameron

I will post more pics soon..for now we are doing really well!
