Another month is past again already...I would have wrote our blog post a little sooner. If we were not traveling, packing/unpacking, visiting ect lately. In fact I am writing this right now on our way home from our vacation in Nova Scotia.
Evie is now 8 months and boy oh boy do we have a lot to tell you. We now have 2 bottom teeth fully in. Let me tell you...they are loads of fun and I say that with large amounts of sarcasm. The first one was not nearly as bad as the second one...oh did I mention that they came in two weeks..one the first week and the other started half way though the second week and continued to come up higher and higher. Teeth send little babies tons of joy...NOT!!!! We believe the others are trying to sneak their way up currently or will shortly follow suite. Hopefully the next couple or the roast are not nearly as bad for Evie has been up a lot almost every it since they have started coming through..so we would like some full nights of sleep sometime soon.
We have been on homo for a while now and are doing great..we have also had blueberries, strawberries, wheat & corn cereals lentils , turkey and some other new things. We at slowly making our food chunkier and chunkier...chewing is becoming better..when we are not deciding to be silly at meals.
The next time you see Evie..if you do..say hi..she may respond back to you with a hi back. It is our first word..sometimes followed by something that sounds like ya..hi ya from Evie. We also have this new found throat laugh that vibrates from the back of her throat. She likes to use it when she thinks things are particularly funny and will give you this goofy teethy smile and laugh. It's quite a funny site to see. We are also learning the levels of our voice box. Testing them out for all to hear and notice her..whether you know her or not.
This past week we started to imitate the Itsy Bitsy spider song with our hands. I have been singing the song with the actions for months now..finally my Aunt Beth sings it with her..and what do you know..we are trying to go up the spout with our hands and trying to clap yeah at the end!!!! My baby girl is so smart and amazes us each and every day.
When we were in Nova Scotia Evie got to meet some of my Aunts and Uncles and her great Nana . We took a picture of Evie, my mom, her mom my nana and I. She also got to meet her second cousins and went to the Ocean for the first time in her life. We walked out in the water and where the tide was out on the beach..even dipped her toes in the water. She did not like it too much..added some tears to the ocean. This is so far the longest road trip we have done with Evie and overall she did pretty good considering.
We have also lowered Evie's crib already..she is rolling back and forth to her tummy and back again. She is trying to prop herself up on things..so now I feel like I have to drop her in and out of her crib. We even will slide ourselves across floors on our back or tummy. We use our arms and shoulders both ways.
Doug told me she is started to try and put her legs under herself now when on her tummy. I have not witnessed it myself yet...her head and legs are not up at the same time tho. We also sit up very well on our own.. And only need a little bit of help here and there.
I will be sure to post pictures shortly..I have to load them on my laptop when we get home. 8 months old..."hi ya" to all of you!
