E's 15 month post..21 week 3 days doc app + gender reveal

From carefully placed steps and balanced leaps...we have conquered the living room and house. We are now a full blown walking to running toddler as of March 12. 2013. That's right folks you heard it first here..I am a running mama. Chasing after miss E is a daily occurrence whether she is climbing furniture, chairs or simply chasing the dog.

Evie now has 7 teeth. 4 top and 3 bottom. We are eating more and more like a big girl. We drink water like a pro out of her sippy cup between meals and we have switched her to 2% milk.

The time switch has really pulled her for a loup. We went from going to bed within a couple of minutes and now due to it being so light out we are screaming at the top of our lungs..thinking it is not time quite yet..despite the fact that we are tired. E now gets herself to sleep on her own for nap. It may take her a half an hour..unless she falls asleep during her lunchtime bottle..but she does it on her own eventually.

Since we have been walking around so much..he dog has less places to hide. Our speech is improving drastically. We are repeating words and animal sounds here and there. E loves to read books and sing songs and dance around whenever there is music. She even makes her little people from her house talk to each other and pretends to feed her baby dolls a bottle. Th e bottle may not always make it into the mouth area..but it's the thought right? Lol!

Each days he amazes me on how smart she is. She is putting together puzzles, stacking her cup tower..helping out away toys without us asking in the right bins and is always asking us what things are called by pointing to ask. Every day she turns off the lights for us by flipping the switch down and uses the more sign for lots of things.

I will be sure to post some new pics of miss E maybe even a video.

21 week 3 day app and gender reveal:

Today we went for our app that included the anatomy ultrasound. We were there early. With the specialist doctor we see you never know if he will be there bright and early or late arriving from the hospital. Today was a late day. My app was supposed to be at 8:45am... Well we did not get home until 10am. There was a full waiting room by the time he came in and we got to see him.

There was a queens student there doing a placement ...today was her first day with Maskens. My. Weight is finally going back up. Which is a good thing for the baby and growth. My blood pressure was all off due to the student taking it..took her like 3 try's and no waiting in between. She kept pumping, re-pumping the air in, checking it, I ended up holding the meter for her to read..and then she left it so tight it hurt my arm..it was red and she held it there staring and listening to my arm for 5 minutes like she was confused.

I was thankful when the doctor came back in to do the ultrasound. I do not think he even considered taking the blood pressure reading after seeing how much trouble she was having. He asked before we started if there was anything we did or did not want to know. I replied " we want to know". He kinda laughed and started the scan.

Everything looked great..all in working order and the right size. This baby is a lot more active than E was. I have been feeling it for almost 3 weeks excessively when I sit down day or night. It kicks a lot. The doctor had to keep moving the ultrasound wand around to capture each area he wanted to check out. I think we even saw more this time around than with E at her anatomy scan. It helped that this baby is more cooperative. However the doctor said we will definitely be running after this one. It was so neat seeing all the facial features and fingers, toes. Right now this baby was sideways.

I asked how big this baby is. You have to know our doc to understand his sarcastic humour. He replied to me " as big as a 21 week fetus should be, depends on what you mean ". I asked can you tell the weight. He said it didn't matter too much. When I asked if he could tell how fast the heart was beating he replied " quickly" lol. I told him he was being very vague this morning. He smiled and chuckled at that point. We have been seeing him long enough that's we just joke with him.

Now what you all have been wondering. Doug is ecstatic due to he is RIGHT!!! We are having a................BOY! A lot of people are happy about this. I did not carry either way..would have been happy. It will be nice to be more prepared ahead of time. I knew Doug wanted a boy deep down this time. Well let me tell you, when the doc said lets get this part over with due to it being blatantly obvious..the baby's legs were in the air..the doctors comment was " there is the third leg". He was not kidding..legs spread and no way of missing or confusing what was there..you could see the hands other places and thee it was standing at attention..straight up! Houston we have a Boy! Lol. Hope that gave ya all a laugh.

Now do not go and ask me about names. That is something we have a list of 10 with middles picked out. We shall talk about E's little brother in posts from now on. The name you will just have to wait on.

I will be sure to post some new pics and the newest ultrasound picture. Hope you all have a good Easter. We go back to the doctor in 4 weeks April 25 my husbands birthday. Xo

14 month post and 17 week 2 day apt.

Here we are...only a couple days past her being 14 months. Right now Evie and myself are dealing with a not so nice cold and teething. Hence it has been a wee difficult to write my blog.

Hmm where to start.. Well let me see. Evie is doing very well with her finger foods and getting into chewing bigger and bigger pieces. She will even bite pieces apart with her two front teeth if she feels they are too big. Plus I feel she seems to enjoy biting pieces apart with her teeth just because she can. We have been using a sippy cup here and there when we have water with mom's help. Evie like to either forget to swallow or spit the water down the front of herself if you are not helping her right now.

I have started to teach miss. E some sign language. We have started with the sign for more. The sign for more is done by taking your hands like you would be doing the rock paper scissors game, but with the paper signed with both hands and pushing them together like a motion together and apart in front of you. Evie likes to take her pointer finger and put her palm out and just tap in the middle of her palm repeatedly. She uses it very well to let us know when she wants more finger foods or something she likes such as music.

Right now we are working on her 6th tooth coming through. She just got her 5th about a week ago. It is exciting but her toys and crib are definitely taking a beating. Our little beaver has damaged her sleigh crib so bad that once we move her into the other room we will have to fix the crib before the new baby arrives.

We are now waving hi and bye to ppl. However when E waves it is backwards to you..curling her fingers towards herself...tres cute. She has been really good with starting to help mom and dad picking up toys. That is all about Miss.E for now.

Baby B # 2:

Today we had our 17 week 2 days apt. We thought we were going for our next ultrasound apt. Turns out it was just a heart beat check with the Doppler and a blood pressure check. All is looking good. I am now 209lbs. Down again..but everything seems to be going well..so no biggy. I have a lot of Evie weight I could lose.

Our next doctors app is march 27th. Which I believe I will be 21weeks two days. Hopefully the weather is better the next time..it was not very nice out..we had to wait a whole for a very short apt. Perhaps next time we will find out if E will have a little brother or sister.Doug thinks it is a boy..I have no thoughts. But if you all want to guess the gender that could be fun. Until later...enjoy the snow..build a snow friend.

13 weeks..Surprise!!

Hey y'all

You either have now caught on really quickly and are saying..."say what?" or are trying to figure out what the hell I am talking about.

Today is my big announcement day for you all. We are pregnant with Baby # 2. 13 weeks..or pretty darn close to being done my 1st trimester..the 3 months of me feeling very ill.

If you are like every other family member that we told around Christmas or a little before hand you are probably either thinking or saying the same thing. 1. How the hell did that happen? or 2. You got pregnant on your own. Mind my language..but my dad decided to say..you mean to tell me one of those dirty bastards got in there..LMAO. Now he is saying that because when you do an IUI..which it took 3 to get our daughter Evie..after 3 years of trying...when they do the IUI..they have to clean the sperm..they spin it before the procedure. So really it is very funny. Doug ( my husbands) running joke is that I cheated on him with another cup!! He thinks he is HILARIOUS!!!!

So here is the downlo..

We went back on Nov 1st to see the specialist..just for a chat on the steps we were going to take ect this time. My cycles were still out of whack since i stopped breastfeeding miss E. I stopped so I would start to cycle again to get things going. My last cycle..was Oct 29. So I was put back on Metformin..to build it up in my system again..which you already know if you are an avid blog follower of my blog. We were not due to come and see the specialist until Jan 7th in the new year.

Well..I had not been feeling very well..and had been on the 3 metformin for a couple of weeks and figured I should have gotten something soon that the last almost 38 day cycle. So I waited a week in a bit longer and thought..okay I am going to take a test and if not..I am still have issues with my body..hence we are going to see the specialist.

So on the same day...I will never forget due to it was the same day all the public eye was all over Kate being in the hospital for morning sickness in London. Doug brought home a two pack of tests and had quite an interesting time at shoppers buying them. The guy at the checkout asked him if he was sure and if it was that kind of night. Doug was getting quite a chuckle out of it. He asked for a optimum points card and Doug said " Am I not getting enough brownie points for buying this"..the guy continue to tell Doug that if I brought the receipt back in with the card we could get the points LOL.

I waited a bit to take the test..while we were cooking dinner I figured here goes nothing. Well let me tell you it was the fastest damn positive that has ever showed up on one of those in my life. You know how they always tell you to wait the time..well mine maybe took 3 seconds for both lines to show up! I told Doug " There are two lines". He told me to wait the time..I told him..if they are already both there..it is not going to change the result. So we called and got a request for bloodwork..and knew within that week.

We had an appointment on Dec 23..considering everything that has happened..miscarriage before Miss E..and what all it took to get her into this world..he wanted to make sure everything was looking good..plus since we were not supposed to go see him until January I had not had my Ovaries or anything looked at for PCOS symptoms still. Well it had a heartbeat at 140 beats already at that point. We asked the doctor if we surprised him and asked if we surprised ourselves. Considering everyone thought it was a slim chance it could not happen at all each time without help..this is huge!

This past week we had an appointment January 23. I was 12 weeks 3 days..working on finishing my 13th week. Everything looks really good. Despite how sick I have been. Good size and developing well. I say sick..due to last pregnancy I had nausea but not like this. I am lucky if I can eat much..if anything at all and when I do..it might have a fighting chance of staying with me. If it is in the morning probably not. I am thinking I have lost like 12-15lbs. I weighed myself that night..not asking them how bad it was at the doctors..and it was a considerable amount down.

This pregancy is very different..not only am I sick and nautious I am very tired. I am falling asleep on the couch...and already have insominea. lol and no I am not complaining..just telling you how we are doing. I think it may have to be with how heavy Evie is..and busy lately..much Fun. The doctor asked me if I wanted something for the Nausea and I said I thought I was ok but if it does not go away or gets worse then I would let him know.

So far my estimated Due date is AUG 5th, 2013. Doug is saying July 19...he was wrong with Miss E..so we will see. I want to find out the sex this time..I think I might have Doug convinced...or he is just agreeing so I will stop pestering him about it. So here we are..we did it all on our own!!! GO US!!!

Evie has been saying the word Baby..it is repeated from us using it with her baby dolls and talking about how their is a baby in mommys tummy..being gentle ect. She however says Be Be..it is super cute. Even if the baby comes early..Miss E and the new baby will be 19-20 months apart.

I will be sure to post some pics..I have some cute picture ideas..for Miss E and I. We also go back to the photographer again when we book it before the end of April. I also have a early..not great quality ultrasound picture..from my 12 week apt.

Much love..Doug, Cassie, Evie and Baby B # 2.

13 months

Today my baby girl is 13 months old..or a 1year and 1 month..which ever way you decide to count or look at it.

We have had a busy month...and a cold one at that. I have some photos to post for you all. We are growing like a bad weed. Starting to say more things and are randomely just standing more and more.

Doug and I are just waiting to see when she takes the plunge and just starts to walk somewhere. Right now it is just fear holding her back. I do not have any set timeline for her like some mothers..I just know that if she tried she would do it. The amount of leg strength she has is incredible. E will just crouch midair half sitting/standing and play like there is nothing to it. We use our walking toys as aids...to plow through other objects or people..(which we think is hilarious..especially if you say ouch)..or pushes it sideways to get where she wants while walking..did i mention with one finger touching it. In fact the other day she took a step towards me with a little encouragement  and no helping hands. Just one step and hen she realized what she was doing and sat down. We are not far though .. Sometimes we stand for 3 minutes straight in the middle of the floor randomly.

We are definitely a toddler now. Braver than you would believe in the most unsafe situations. One of Evie's favorite things is to be upside down. I want you to think of a Ostrich when they put their heads in the sand..bum in the air..well we do that on a regular basis..sometimes 5 times in a 10 minute span.

I am amazed everyday how smart she is. Always using trial and error to see how things work..or simply   investigating every which way to use something. Peek a boo..and hide and seek are a big hit lately.. You can not pass object permanence past this child...she will call you out. We are putting our giant legos together and slowly figuring out where to put the shapes in the shape ball.

We are also a very huggy..loving little girl lately..we come up just for cuddles or a hug to my foot..we hug all of our toys...and even pause for a minute here and there to lay our head on the floor and take in  the world.

We are eating finger foods atleast once a day now..usually breakfast...sometimes more. We are a pro at toast, waffles, pancakes, small pieces of fruit and some veggies. E can even drink out of a sippy cup with assistance from myself.. otherwise it is still seen as a toy thrown on the floor or spitting out the water. We are usually down to one big nap a day which does wonders for me getting some me time or somethings accomplished.

As of now I am really not sure what else to write at the moment.. So I will be posting some pics to follow asap. Happy weekend!
