May 7 2017..we have hit the one year mark...tomorrow she has been 1 for a month! She is advancing so quickly in all of her on going skills since she has turned 1. If you have not seen her in awhile she is a whole different little Miss since the last time.
We had her 1 year doctors appointment on the 17 of May...she is now almost 21 lbs and 30 inches in length..she is definitely catching up to Sir K in height. Her growth has been a gradual climb on the charts all along and has continued on the trend. The doctors were happy about how she is doing so healthy and happy...and A took those needles like a pro.
Since her appointment she has been drinking out of sippy cups on her own and with little help for water and straw cups all by herself. She is eating lots of small finger foods and a large variety of new foods. Sometimes eating with A is like the Movie "What about Bob"..where he Savors each morsel of food.
Her giggles are infectious and she is getting more vocal about wanting your attention or getting mama or dada before her siblings. She is a super big mama's girl..most of the time my Dh can not help when is not feeling well or teething because she prefers her mama instead..who doesn't right??
Since her first birthday we have been pretty mobile. She is walking more and more each day...hanging on and free handed...I mean free handed as in Miss A walks across the room smiling her arms about her head like she just scored a goal and is dancing! So much fun and excitement at this age. She will circle round and catch her balance on her own which is great. She loves to bounce and swing and her play is getting more advanced each day. She loves to empty our Tupperware cupboard daily.
Hard to believe that all of my littles are growing so fast and that we will not have any more wee baby posts any more. Our days can sometimes be long but never boring. We have busy days with a lot of love in our house.
I will try to update once a month with info about how we are doing and what is going on..
O- Just had his first meet the teacher night for JK..since he starts in September! He also is getting better on potty training. He feels he would like to pee standing up....if he could just learn to aim my bath room might not be screaming at me. I feel we may have a puppy..hahahhaa
E- Is continuing her dance until the end of June. She is learning Acro and Early Ballet. She loves to dance in all forms. She is scared about going into grade 1 since her safety net is going to change at school.
K- Busy little K. Speaking more and more each day. Saying and doing things you would not think the tiny guy could do. He is a never ending ball of energy. Mighty and showing his little sister things that she should not know...they play together well despite the jealousy when we are near.
Over all they are growing so fast. Taller each day...eating tons more growing like weeds. This summer should be entertaining to have them all off together...the dynamic changes.
Happy June..xoxoxo The Brants

11 months going on to 1Year!
Hey Y'all,
We have just finished Easter and are on to celebrating my DH Birthday this week. A is 11 months old and t minus 2 weeks she will be 1 YEAR OLD! Crazzzzyyyyy!!!!
A is smiling, giggling joy around our house. She is teething quite a bit at this point but with a little bit of random things to chew on and tylenol..she makes out just great. A has started to prefer more solid finger foods than the cereals and softer chunky spoon fed meals. She will still eat them but likes to help with her hands while we feed her. She also has started to help hold her own bottle more and more. We eat meals with the rest of the family and usually have two snack milk/food feeds. She is getting unbelievably taller and looks like she is about to stretch out again. We still only have 4 teeth in but gum things with no problems.
She is a true climber following in her brothers monkey type tendencies and footsteps. Lately the boys have decided to help her out by hoisting or lifting her places where she did not need to be. They like to think they are helping me but have to be reminded she is still little and not a play doll. Mini Heart attacks are normal right..I worry less due to her being number 4 but still find my heart race during situations where you are frustrated and scared of what could have happened.
Miss A is starting to make new sounds each day..vroooming cars..happy clapping with hand movements, mmmming sounds when hungry or enjoying food..infections laughter. I love this stage of watch them grow and discover and change ever so quickly. Parts of me are sad that we will not experience this stage again..but know there is so much to come with our amazing family.
Walking is not far off..she walks along things and can see her leg muscles getting stronger daily. She stands freely when not paying attention to what she's doing..beside tables and chairs letting go. She climbs onto cars and into the Lego bin daily.
This year has gone by more quickly than we have imagined. She is my wee bird! Soaring to new heights every day. Her brothers guidance may not always be helpful..but she has the most fun and will always be loved...K and her are very good playmates. O is always kissing her and hugging her tight....E Wants to show her everything and sometimes asks to be dressed like twins..not sure if she knows what twins really means.
I will write you more next month..after her birthday and 1 year check up!
Miss E:
Loose tooth..growing so tall...learning so much day to day. Her speech and writing skills are getting quite good and she is coming out of her shell like crazy. I witness talking about boys and marriage and buying houses..asking questions from death to birth. She loves to dance and sing and shows us daily...learning boundaries of who is in charge and who she should talk to if she is in trouble. Dance ends soon for the year and her big recital is coming up...we are getting very excited!!!
Captain O
He is very busy..loves movies..finding out how things work..big time outdoor play..learning boundaries...listening is hard when you want to be the man in charge making choices..he is potty training like a pro lately..dry even if we are out wearing a pull up telling us when he has to go...we are about every 1 1/2 hrs lately.. which is great....our current deal is 5 poops equals 1 hot wheels...slowly spacing the incentive that is working out and then it will be taken away, so we just go. We start JK next September so we are getting ready practicing letters, proper manners, sitting at the table to eat with out leaving. So much energy.
Sir K
Sir K is going through the I am learning to talk a mile a minute and does so really well. But at the same time wants to get his own way and does not quite understand how to express how he feels so we bite or hit etc. We will apologize even though we do not fully understand. Mostly due to wanting to get out of time out. He uses please and Thank you better than some adults..gives great hugs and kisses. He notices a million things in the car and all around. Always asking if I heard the train go by...we have tracks near and they blow the whistle daily...also planes and helicopters. If you take a ride with us you better get ready to look and spy what this little fellow has to show you. I hear Look Mommy a.... a gazillion times in a 20min car ride lol. He is sprouting up taller...we are a finally into some 18m and 2T clothes.
Soon I will post some new pictures of all my littles...until then here is your latest update.

From a Crawl to Walk
Here we are in March almost ending..A is 10 months old almost going on 11months.
Miss A is starting to eat more solid finger foods cut up super tiny. Her face lights up with smiles when she gets to help feed herself. Like any baby starting pieces most of it or very little gets to be eaten. More of the process of starting the self feed. The food usually ends up all in her bib, chair and in her hair...on her face..quite a site.
She now has 4 teeth through to help her gum and chew also. Her bottom front which are all the way through and her top front which are working their way through and down. When she is not stealing crumbs or her siblings snacks she is on the move.
She is getting more confident every day..between her lightening speed army crawl..her super quick crawl which is random and her leaned walk against plasma cars, her car and anything she can push including chairs. Today she walked a good chunk of the hallway behind her Minnie mouse walking car. She is standing against anything she can including the oven..to kiss herself...also the patio door..we lick doors in our house..no judgments lol.
She finally said mama consistently while DH was away in Texas...i was needed...she was one hurting soul with the teeth...my mom stayed with us and no one else was good enough. When DH came home she was making strange with him..which makes it hard for me to get things done. Most of the time she my girl...which i will cherish as long as I can. They all switch so much and are only small so long.
Each day she is growing so fast...looking more and more like a toddler and less of a baby. She learns more each day from watching and observing her siblings..some good..not what to do..lots of things she should not do...but looks fun or like a good idea at the time.
K and A will be best buddies next year when O is off to school. Sometimes I wonder what kind of adventures they will get into. The other day I walked into the playroom to find K and A playing in the toy kitchen together...great for teething, sharing and laughs. Other days they are making huge messes together by dumping all the bins under the change table on the floor. We never had a dull moment.
On other news in our house...K talking up a storm and always giving us adventure..O is potty training and not doing too badly considering..going about every hr with little accidents..and Miss E has her first wiggly tooth...no time to stop around here.
Maybe the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny will come at the same time.
XOXOXO The Brants

From the Mouth of my Sweet A
We have hit 9 1/2 months already. At A's last doctors appointment a week ago she is now weighing in at 18.95 lbs and is 28 inches long....growing like crazy!!!!
So far we have two bottom teeth. A always has her two middle fingers in her mouth for teething and comfort. The soother was replaced for fingers before 3 months even came and gone. Right now she has a cold and is getting more teeth in so it seems. This past week has been pretty rough on her and us. Little sleep..not that we get much in the first place..but you learn to live off of the 4-5hrs you get...once A is getting up every 15 min-30min....you become a mombie. I am just happy she seems to be on the mend.
We were trying more foods and starting on to bigger pieces and not super chunky but not liquid food consistency...until A was so congested she threw up baby cereal or pushed it out before it even gets to get mouth. A sound you definitely avoid if possible. Today we starting to eat better again..not quite the amount we usually get into her but we are not throwing up all food from the massive amount of spit and snot running down her throat, so definitely a huge PLUS! Even had a little chunkier of a lunch BONUS!
She has started to say MAMA randomly....definitely not as often as her "dada's or yaya's or HI's". We make some new funny sounds with her mouth. She will use them to get you to smile and laugh but also to laugh at herself while making that sound.
We are standing against anything and everything...pulling our self up like a old pro. We stand against the couch, crib, beds, under tables against chairs . If we let her she will attempt to move plasma cars and walks along the couch. I wish the boys would leave the Walking Toy/car she got for Christmas from Santa alone...if she had a longer time with it being out she may be able to practice her balance a bit more. By no means am I rushing things though. We love watching her explore the world through her eyes..and time goes by fast enough with her being number 4. It is like she hit the ground running. Wanting to catch up to all of the other siblings around her and watching to see how things are done around here.
Lately we have had to help her go to sleep. The separation and stranger anxiety has hit a high level of intensity lately. Especially while she is sick and teething...it usually happens between 9 months plus..just seems stronger with her. Now a days we pat her/rub her back or bum and stroke her hair or close her eyes so gently stroking her nose until her eyelids feel droopy. She just wants to know you are there...so we sit or stand a spell and take in her little beauty.....while stopping other little walking feet from keeping her awake. I will take all the little snuggles and cuddles and soothing...for they are only so small for so long and We will miss this!
I would write about all the others right now..but I am tired and welll...I may need a book. If you stop in and my two year old is running around buck naked due to he thinks its a pantless party lately....my 3 year old is working the tv and planning a cookie hoist...I guarentee A might soon become ring leader..she two thinks about breaking free from her cribbed bed.

Chomp Chomp
This past month has been an exciting one..we had E turn 5 years old, K turn two this past weekend and on the 7th Miss A turned 8 months old!
Miss A is starting to move onto mashed foods . The day before she turned 8 months old she had her first two teeth break through the skin..and the fussiness to go with the pain begins. Most of the time she takes it well..constantly chewing on the fingers in her mouth....now we have started to bite anything we can...including grinding the only two teeth she has. More teeth are seen and being felt just below the surface...so the fun begins.
She is army crawling faster than the speed of light all over the house...getting into dog food and pulling stuff over. We really have to watch her all the time. One second she is in the living room...you turn and she is in our front entrance or playroom trying to cause ruckus with the rest of our brood. Oh the laughter she brings with her teethy grin. K loves to bug her and get her toys down..giving her kisses and hugs.
She loves to make us laugh and is super ticklish. A lot of the time she is getting preferential on who feeds her or how she is fed. She likes to give daddy a hard time and is trying to feed herself on the floor. We usually end up chasing her to get her to eat again.
Mobile and determined. She is constantly standing with us holding her..half sitting/posing on the floor with her arm holding her up on an angle and rocking back and forth pre crawling. A will slide down the couch to get down while we hold her...and changing her is a whole other story.
Her babbling and laughter is infectious! If you want smiles A is your Gal! The dog will never have dry food ever again.
K:
K just turned 2 this past weekend on the 15th. Thanks to all the FamJam who made it out. It was low key but perfect for our Thomas loving Two Year old! Two days after is still in recovery of fun! We had cake and company and the usual favourite for Two Year olds...Hot Dogs!
He is so Kissy and Cuddly lately. His words are ever flowing. He is super smart..loves his trains and giggles all over the house. Dare devil at heart..no fear in this lad....makes his big sister cry just with his tiny pinching hands.
He is definitely stretching out and finally in 18 months clothing...but 2 T would definitely be too big.
Miss E:
Miss E is 5...attitude on her sleeve. She has a big heart..but full of emotion.
She had a great birthday party with one of her besties from school and some of her cousins and a few of our other close friends with their littles. We made gingerbread houses..had a Sofia shape cupcake cake. We tried to space it out..having a birthday on christmas can be hard when you are so small.
Since she has gone back to school she has had two snow/ice days per week. It has been interesting to watch how when the days are not as structured and she is home to play how the dynamics change at home. For her sake the buses better be running tomorrow. I love spending time with her but she has been tired lately and misses her friends and school. She begins to get very dramatic and it goes down hill from there. She also feels she is in charge lately...which does not get her what she would like...lol.
O:
Soft at heart..even though he seems so rough and tough. Are Ears need to be turned back on again. He loves his new camera he got from Christmas and is constantly taking pictures of all of us.
Time sure flies. I just signed O up for junior kindergarten this past week. Now we just have to get this lad potty trained before September! He will pee on the toilet when we take him..pushes it out in fact. Will not tell me when he needs to poop or has tho..and I feel we will be taking him every 20 mins at first. This will be a Two parent task I fear with heavy reward trickery.
As for now I bid you all goodnight. It's been a long Two days and I'm outta here haha.

Let me See that Army Crawl!
A is on the move...soon nothing will be safe again in this house...not that it has been for awhile.
Totally can not put out or have pretty things currently in this household...my poor Christmas decorations are proof. Toddlers can be well to put it lightly tiny terrorists hahaha.
She has mastered the tummy army crawl...where you have amazing upper body strength..do this ackward plank/push up to glide/push your way across the floor to get access to toys and objects around you...and man does she do it quick...also a ROLLING QUEEN! I can not recall but I feel like this is much quicker than her siblings..we are in the mode where we do not want to miss a thing.
I also feel like she is my other child...who is not going to take crap! K is the exact same way currently and you really have to watch him..I will be proud of it later in life..but right now he is sneaky and ruthless when it comes to fighting back......and DIRTY. He bites his siblings in the back when play fighting! A is already following him in the trend of chewing on socks that are left on the floor...we are usually a sockless house...except for my DH. A will even grab the washcloth K left behind..because honestly they are all over my house lol...and chew on his...Gross!!!! Yet to see teeth through. But they are definitely making themselves known through pain and chewing. Poor A is fighting food on and off between teeth and colds. We are completely used to the whole process but still breaks your heart when there is not much you can do other than comfort and tylenol.
She is getting to be such a big girl. 7 months old...already in some 6-9 and 9month clothing! Stretching out every day...trying to climb up on chairs from the floor and rolling all over the place..a force to be reckoned with! We are even starting to make small noises when she feels she is not being heard..it is a competition in our house some days. Its like being a in a broadway with 4 performers..all begging the audience to just watch their rendition one more time. Good thing we like movies and plays huh!
If you walk down the hall in our house and peer into our bedroom..sometimes you are sure to see Miss A staring back at you over the bars of the crib. We probably should work on lowering it soon. We are not quite up all the way. Lots of time we will see her rolling around with her pink elephant cuddly making quite the sounds. The joy she brings is amazing. Its hard to get frustrated if you see the piggy faced smile she sends you.
K:
K is our little dare devil! Lately he has decided to think he is not too big for the jumperoo miss A should be using. The floor usually wins in this case. This morning there was blood involved. I swear all my kids have done it at one point..hit the skin in between the lip and gum...always looks worse than it is. My two boys are constantly climbing and wrestling like boys do. I am surprised I do not lose my voice some days. The amount of yelling I am trying not to do ...but after some point something has to give..and if you have ever had a toddler you will understand it has to be their decision and why should I listen to Mom! K is adventurous and funny! He is a ham..but climbing the walls. He loves trains and vocabulary is through the roof for a kids who is not even 2 yet. His new favorite is Thomas...he loves to dance and will sing you all the words to twinkle. But be very aware that he is a little dinosaur...as he assures me with his scary ROAR!
O:
Is into everything and is 3...sometimes I feel very frustrated with my sweet O..because well life! He wants to be involved and helpful even if he does not know how. Everything has to be his decision. He is growing faster than the speed of light...I have my 3 year old in Pants from children's place for boys size 4 H (husky) He is my tank..he will eat his lunch and then have lunch with you. He is always up for car rides and trying new things..loves movies and has the best memory. Gives great cuddles and tells me the funniest things. Just the other day we were on a magic carpet ride trying to get away from a scary dragon..sorry you missed it!
E: Is almost 5!!!! Christmas day to be exact! She has really come out of her shell lately. She has really improved at school. Loves to help when it suits her..has to be in the mood lol. She loves crafts and builds amazing lego sculptures. Her imagination is tremendous. She is always making up stories with me before bed. Her speech is improving dramatically..she is also getting so tall. I have her turning 5 and going into a size M or 7/8 for some things. I had to actually buy two new snow suits again this year. Tom boy at heart outside..I de-stain more than a little with this gal...She loves to dance and is being moved up this week into the older ballet kids. Lots of drama with this age..due to wanting independence and also wanting help at the same time..never a dull moment.
After this I will not be writing until after Christmas. So to all the families who take the time to read. Thankyou and We all wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our house to yours. Love the Brants xoxo

Half a Years Past
My sweet Little A is 6 months old! I say it each time but it is really amazing how fast time can fly. She is by far the fastest one yet. She watches in amazement learning from the others each day and spreads her wings to fly faster than we could have imagined.
Her giggles will melt your heart and she honestly is super cuddly! My sweet baby is a happy joy to be around..and even though we are dealing with colds and teeth trying to come through..A is such a trooper!
We went to the doctors office for her Appointment this month and she is now weighing a whole whopping 15lbs 14oz! She is also now 25.25 inches in length...she will soon be out growing my small K her older sibling if she keeps at this rate of growth. Her hair is growing in and shortly I should be able to put in a pony..lol..not that we care about that too much..but her big sister Miss E keeps asking me about when A will be getting her hair done too!
We have also had more foods such as Wheat cereal, green beans, turkey and a couple other new things. We are constantly teething with our poor wee fingers in our mouth. Honestly think K will have a washcloth buddy. If K had it his way he would share one..he is always giving A stuff she should not have "helping".
Did I mention we are rolling everywhere, reaching for toys and starting to lift our knees and bum scoots/sliding ourselves forward on the floor to grasp toys etc. She is super determined!!! She loves to stand since she has practiced with support in her Jumperoo and exersaucer. She will slide off the couch against DH or myself and stand hanging on. She will also sit up with little support.
We are learning new sounds..Raspberry spit bubbles are a daily occurrence. We have started to shift her bedtime feed back sooner so we all get more sleep. We were waking her before anyway.
A is starting to interact more with sounds, facial expressions and passing toys back and forth..she will play with her siblings through sounds and joyful movements. K loves to come and give her kisses and hugs. O always tells me just how much he loves her. There is a lot of reminders of gentle being given.
I will write more soon..as the night is late and this mama always has lots to do. Perhaps next time I will be able to write more about my other children haha.

5 Months
Hey y'all
A little later than I wanted to be typing this all up..but late is better than to have forgotten. Here we are in October and Miss A is 5 1/2 months old already.
Miss A is onto new adventures in food..we have had Barley, Oatmeal and Rice cereals, as well as prunes, peaches, apple sauce, peas, squash, yogurt and sweet potato. A loves food and is a great little eater. She chews and swallows like she has been doing it all along. We just have to hold her one hand while feeding her so she is not sucking on her two fingers. Her teeth bother her quite a bit, so much that she will use her hand over her soother a lot of the time. She is still getting a bottle roughly every 3-4 hours..sometimes longer in between. We have upped her amount to 5 oz in each bottle and she gets about 6-7 sometimes 8 a day..along with 4-6oz of solids a day depending on what she will take in before milk at a meal. Usually she will eat it all up and leave a bit of milk.
Right now she has a cold like the rest of my crew..on and off since E started school..we are quite drooly with teeth on top of that. She enjoys taking other peoples hands and chewing on them as well.
We are currently in 3-6 and 6 months clothing. Growing like crazy. I have had to put a lot of 3-6 away already.
She is trying to wiggle out of her floor toy..has no problem rolling back and forth and is trying to push with her legs and chest off the floor. She will be motoring around with the rest of our crew in no time. We are smiling and laughing...even ticklish at times. The other kids are enjoying making her laugh and smile and the little bits of baby talk. She even is giving raspberries/zubers and kisses. Which are sometimes full of tongue and slobber haha.
She is very aware of our surroundings and will turn to her name. She is usually calmed down quite quickly when picked up and has started to try to get our attention with different sounds and cries.
Miss A is napping a lot less lately. More awake time is a great thing but also has downfalls. Especially when we are not having bigger chunks of nap. We have been sleeping all night for a long time..but needs more help getting to sleep. She wants to see you there but not always actually helping her. Just to know you are close by.
Hard to believe in a couple weeks she will already be 1/2 a year old. She is such a happy part of our family and we all love her more each day!

They see me ROLLING! 4 Months
Here we are smack dab in the middle of September!!
School has started for year two of kindergarten...how did we get to have a kid in her second year of school already! Sir K is 20 months old today woot woot!!!! O is soon going to start potty training...Miss E also started dance classes tonight...EXCITING RIGHT!!!! Oh and did I forget to mention A is ROLLING!!!!!
Miss A is now 4 months and week roughly...crack-a-lackin soon we will be talking about how it is almost christmas and she will be 6months old...time sure is flying...especially when you have 4 kids 4 and under running the house..I mean around you..hahahhaha..(sips wine).
Any who....A is such a joy honestly..she is a super great baby..mind you lately we always find the older two more of a handle. Babies are much easier minus the teething. Yesterday we went to the doctors and she now weighs a whopping 13lb 15oz..one more Oz and this gal is 14lbs...should not take too long at all! She is growing constantly and is 24in in height!! You would not be able to tell she is still loving the curling into a ball phase...unless playing on the floor..then we stretch right out and roll back and 4th. She does 360 on the floor in her activity floor toy. Especially if one of the kids catch her attention or she wants to watch tv. We start our kids on cartoons really young. To be honest my house would be a total write off if it was not for cartoons and movies on netflix..O loves netflix!!!!!
We are smiling and talking up a storm...her chest sounded great at the doctors and she did not seem to be concerned whatsoever. We all agreed it sounds like it is linked to her having some allergy reactions and sounds worse due to age. We had recently bought the k-9 allergy and it clears it up. Usually worse when my husband cuts the grass or if we are outside for longer periods of time with her.
A is also holding a lot of things in her hands. Grasping toys and cuddles blankets. She is teething like mad and sucking on her hands loudly. Sometimes so hard that if she does not have her soother her fingers do the job. I have been sleeping her in the bassinet more in the day since she seems to go down easier. She loves to get kissed from all her siblings and will even carry on a convo with them in baby babble. she is well loved and looked after in our house. just today K shared his truck with her while in the playpen and O helped her stay warm with a extra blanket in the swing. Never a dull moment. We take her back at 6 months to see how she is doing again.
Miss E:
Miss E just started Sk and is a super big helper in the classroom. She is using the bathroom like a big girl for the most part. We have her wipe first in the bathroom with us and then we check for her. She started Creative Dance/ballet tonight . She was super excited and did not want to leave. She was a little upset starting on the bus again since her bus driver seems to be switched from the lovable one they had to a new one who either does not like kids or hates his job..does not even say HI to the kids in the morning. Also the bus monitor who she sat with before either has not started or is not on this route either...her bus safety and comfort had dropped. Its hard being 4! Attitude is on high lately..along with thinking she can do what she wants..oh the joys of 3 and 4..thinking they can run the world..later in life I will be proud of her being so independent and forward thinking..now not so much. Her drawing is improving drastically. We were in to her school yesterday and she drew all of our family members in great detail, she even included the dog.
Captain O:
3's oh how I LOVE the Threenager! This adorable little package of energy who wants to make their own choices and will not listen to you or reason. Dropping it like its hot not wanting to go places for you or do things when it suits anyone but him.....Just think we have two more times of Threenagers. I love that his sister is back in school simply for he is a night and day different kid when he has alone time with his mama. The boys horse around together but fight way less...they usually play together quite well and I can manage to get some things done. He is super busy, messy and insanely smart. Repeats words and songs to me all the time. Today I had to answer him all day as Theodor off of Alvin and the Chipmunks. He was Simon and K was Alvin...in fact he would not answer me at lunch unless I told Simon to drink his milk...fun times. He is at a stage where we are into everything..especially when he thinks he is helping. Like he decided it would be a good idea while in pj's to cover himself...his pj's the floor and part of the tv unit in sunscreen..so much that he could not move without falling! Funny now...not so much when we found him. Soon we start potty training him..I am sure there will be stories to tell.
Sir K:
K is my clown....always into soaps, shampoos, climbing like a mountain goat..getting stuck in house obstacles. Right now he is in the dumping stage. He is always trying to figure out how things work or what he can get a way with. He is trouble with a Capital T. He will race for bum changes and kisses his sister a million times a day. A roller coaster of emotions. K is always getting Teeth in..if he is not hitting his head from falling over himself off of things he is wrestling causing trouble with his siblings. He is also our biter...his siblings have the marks to prove it. He is constantly laughing and smiling over silly things and will take a cuddle any time he can get. He is super smart at the age of 20 months old..singing his abc's in our bedtime routine along his sister and brother. He is always helping put diapers in the garbage or doing puzzles. The sentences and words he says are well put together. He also stands there like a parrot mother hen and yells at his sister and brother. Its quite funny to see. I swear the floor wears more than he eats. He is a messy grazer. Next week we take K for a heart ultrasound to make sure he does not have a murmur. He was sick last time we had him at the doctor...so it could have been fluid there. Just a check.
My DH finally got his referral from Belleville for the big Snip...in November...so here we go down the road of not having any more babies. The first appointment is probably just a talk. I am sad there will not be any more firsts..I love the stage A is in and will miss it deeply. We love our family and babies and kids..but now is the time for us to move on to the next stage of our family. Watching them grow and learn...and reconnecting our relationship..stronger than ever as a team and loving family.

3 Months Young
Hey y'all,
Here we are almost half way through August and I am finally getting chance to try and write my blog post. I am doing this on my phone tonight. Typos may happen haha. I am waiting for O to go to sleep since we napped him today.
Miss A is doing great other than a raspy cough that does not want to seem to leave. I believe it is starting to get better but it's sure taking it's sweet time. She has had it since the last doctors appointment. There was a older man with a awful cough when we were waiting to go into see the doctor after seeing the nurse and he sure was not covering his mouth or wearing a mask. It could be allergies, it does not happen all the time and is worse when she is laying down longer. Not much they can give her anyway.
She is changing so much each day. Her cheeks are huge but her looks are becoming more defined. She is making strange here and there but more serious than scared. Her cradle cap
Is getting better that before with cream and oil/brushing. Her smile is so contagious and she loves to show it. She loves kisses and to be sung to. We still sleep quite a bit but is having a lot more awake times. We have been last through the night with a dream feed bottle around 10:30/11pm and last anywhere from 5-7am.
She is getting bigger every day. Normal I know but cherished so much due to all the firsts for her and last time to see how amazing it is first hand. She is very aware of her surroundings. Cooing and smiling while playing in her floor toy or chair. She prefers noise over quiet except for at night which is good.. This house is definitely not QUIET! We are trying to roll when on her back in her floor toy. Seems quick to me...but she has lots of helpers.
She has a lot of love in our house. E has even helped hold a bottle for her a couple of times and will bring me diaper supplies when asked. Shocking I know. We go back to see the doctor in September.. Unless we need to check her out soon.
Her character is starting to show. I a sure shs will grow and learn faster than even K.
I will write more on all my other littles when I am not on my phone.

Miss A's 2 months
hey y'all
Here we are almost half way through July. Miss A has been 2 months for just over a week in a bit. Last week we took her to the doctor for her 2 month apt. She is now 11lbs 5.5oz. She is also 22 inches in length. She had her first needles and oral vac done. She is eating really well now lasting anywhere from 2-4 hrs in between..and sleeping mostly through the night..lately her last bottle is around 10:30/11 and she makes it until 5-6am. She is drinking around 3-4oz at a time.
A is now smiling here and there, cooing and grunting in response. She is very alert...starting to reach and play in the floor toy we have set up inside the play yard for her safety. Toys still get thrown in when K gets the chance...such a big helper for his "aba" as he calls her. She responds well to her siblings all over her. Most of the time they are very loving and gentle unless not paying attention to their surroundings or if K decides he is jealous..he uses a lot of words but still hits when he does not have the words.
She really loves to stick her tongue out and make faces. Her cheeks are getting all big and adorable. Her head strength is amazing but she has been really strong with it since a week old. When we do tummy time she kind of tummy swims in the floor toy. Lately she has had a lot of awake time just looking around.
It's amazing how fast each baby grows quicker than the last.
sir K is trouble...a little tiny toddler terrorist..causing ruckus where it is to be had. He loves to make messes, getting into everything he can. He is our biter..sometimes due to teeth and other times due to frustration, jealousy and when he is mad. His siblings must have marks all over I know my DJ and I do. He is also our clown..his laughter makes up for the harder days. He loves his baby sister even though he is jealous. He is so smart to figure things out. Apparently my vents are great storage compartments and life is a great big game of find missing things..like daddy's switchable razor. You know the piece you put all the attachments on with the power...ya K hid that piece really well. He is already 18months old!
O just turned 3. He said he is retiring and done growing haha. He is a sweet boy. He is talking so well for his age. I fear by the way he eats now when he is older we will be running out of groceries constantly. There is more fighting since E has been off school. We will be starting potty training in the fall since he is beginning to start to be ready but not quite. We had a pj masks birthday for him with family. He loves to dress up and pretend he is saving everyone. Him and k play well together with the Normal rough house between brothers. We have hit the age of night terrors and monster fears. Makes for some long nights. He loves to play out side and is really needing to work on listening lately.
Miss E did her very first dance camp right after school. She did amazing. She is missing school and her friends. The lack of routine causes lack of listening skills. She loves to do things but is also busy. Her imagination is always working. We are working on being ready for sk. Hard to believe she will be one. she has come out of her she'll in a huge way..which also makes grocery trips interesting since she is telling everyone she sees her name. Always kissing her siblings and is stretching like a bean pole. It will be fun to watch her in dance in the fall, she is really into acro.
We are busy. I am pumping and bottle feeding, my DH works Long hours..but we truck through as a team. Right now I am even attempting a mommy fit challenge. This is it tho..no more babies...no more firsts after A . Part of me is sad but I feel we are a great family. He is getting referred to get the big V. We shall see how long the Wait is.
This is the latest for now. Xoxox the Brants.

Miss A's 1 Month
Hey y'all
Before it this month flies past me..I figure I should get my act together and write Miss A's 1 month/5 week blog post!
This month has certainly been one heck of a change from having 3 kids to 4. We were always busy..just busier...probably more noticeable due to the lack of sleep. Miss A is doing quite well..when we went to the doctors for her almost 1 month/4 week appointment she was weighing 8lb 10oz and 21inches in length. I would not be surprised that by the time we go back at 2 month is she is 10/11lbs by then. We are nursing like crazy..lasting anywhere from 2hrs-5hrs. Most nights this mama is getting 4hrs of sleep..sometimes more if I nap on the couch..that sometimes leads to feeling more tired than it is worth. If we could only get Miss A a little more consistent in timings...at least then the sleep would be more regular.
Her cheeks are filling out..she is growing every day so fast. This past week when my DH was in Texas for work she started to become more alert..turning when her mama or her YAYA were talking to her. Starting to tell little cooing stories and grunting lots in her sleep. I feel for the poor wee lass...her hair is starting to fall out at the top..it always grows back in but she looks like a little old man. She also is getting some cradle cap, peeling skin on her face with baby acne. We were not sure if was baby acne or exema. I am sure all her hair will grow back in and the baby acne will pass but as for now she is my sweet bumpy balding girl haha.
I have put most of her newborn clothes I had out away already and she has been wearing 0-3 and 3months clothing. We also had to up her into size 1 diapers due to how much she has grown. I have officially named us Miss A and the machine. Feeding her is way easier than all the other children. She latches better on one side but with a little fight we latch on both. We must be doing something right...I do not feel as stressed about Breast feeding and she is gaining!
We are constantly dealing with Sir K and jealousy..but also aggression against his sister. O just loves his sweet baby sister and kisses her all the time. Miss E just wants to show her off to the world..especially while grocery shopping...asking any passer by.
Once we are asleep we are good. Lots of hiccups to be had around here. Now if we could only get her to hold her own soother in ....for now we prop the blanket against it so she does not spit it out wanting it again. Her O face is definitely on point! Now only if we could keep newly climbing K from climbing our mountain table to help rock her or toss off the blanket!
I will be sure to update you on all the other Brant Members soon xoxo

37 Weeks/Mothers Day Weekend = A's Birth Story
Sorry for the delay Y'all..been a crazy week and a half..today is
honestly the first day my DH is back at work since A's Birth! The boys
are making my day..lets say exciting and exploring the house..one bin
empty at a time and sometimes the moments of calm/quiet are few and far
between.
On the 7th of May...the day before Mothers Day...My pregnancy was marked at 37 weeks...well my sweet A decided to make it into the world..whether anyone was ready or not. The betting pool had just past my husbands picks and it had moved onto our good old neighbor from Peterborough.
The Wednesday before I had been switched care to Maskens the specialist and had seen the diabetic clinic..and it had been decided that I was close enough to not be put on insulin for the long lasting fasting.
The Morning of May 7..we ventured out to Walmart..get some groceries and of course we were so busy we needed to get mothers day presents for the Grandma and YAYA and the kids for myself. I had felt alot of pressure that day but nothing new to what I had been feeling on and off all week with random braxton hicks contractions and my plug leaking. We had made it back and were getting the kids lunch...I remember signing all the cards..writing in one for my mom and felt liquid running down my leg around 11:30...I thought nothing of it other than going to change the pad i was continuously changing throughout the week already. Shortly after I started to get back pain as well with the pressure and starting of contractions. On Sunday my mom and I were planning a brunch at her place..so I called once I thought today was the day and said not to rush but I would start heading over soon.
We put the kids to bed and made sure I had my things together in my bag and bf pillow. My dad would be looking after the children. If it was going to be anything like O's labor...it was faster than the rest. We left our house in Brighton around 2pm to leave to go to Peterborough for delivery. Calling the hospital on the way giving them the heads up that we were on our way and were coming from an hour and a bit away. The ride there was not too stressful...breathing through the contractions and slowly they were getting closer and closer and more intense. We got into the hospital around 3:30ish and went straight up to labor and delivery. I was checked out and admitted in about 20 minutes..considering while I was swaying back and forth through all of it..my water broke on the bed as she was checking me out. When they checked me at this point I was already 4-5cm dilated.
After we got into the room we were told it would be a bit of a wait considering there was a back up in lots of woman having delays in labor and needing assistance. The doctor following us was on call and in surgery with the anesthesiologist and were not sure when they would be back around. Breathing through all the pain is always the fun part right. They hooked me up to all the monitors to see when I was in active labor..monitoring my blood pressure..baby's heart rate and my contractions. Contractions continued to increase and come closer ending and starting together. Some how I managed to breathe through most of them..I am not sure if it is just a case of it being the 4th time around or my state of mind. This baby was coming ready or not. She was totally ready.
After being monitored for a while I was considered in active labor around 5/5:30pm. My friend Bree came in the room with my this time along side my momma and DH. She has had two boys of her own but has not been there to witness a birth before. This was a first for her. The nurse went through the long list of questions they have each time. I had a IV put in..it took two different nurses to do this. I had blood taken..from my arm for the lab and my sugars checked. I had not much in my system from being sick in the morning and finding random things to eat when we realized that today was the day we would be having A. I had grabbed random things to eat so I had something in my system. First the one nurse tried to put the IV in the back of my arm....then after that did not work another nurse put it in my hand/wrist. We did not have my strep results back and the pediatrician they had on call wanted my on the antibiotic just to be sure that I would not pass on anything at birth if it was positive.
Between 5:30 -6pm the anesthesiologist came in to walk me through the procedure and give me the epidural. My Momma and Bree had to leave. I am not sure why..less witnesses who knows..haha. Doug had to hold on to me as they elevated the bed as high as it could go. Arching your back while you are having contractions jump on top of each other...not knowing where they will end and begin again. I was having them so bad at this point I started to feel nauseous and gag. It took all I could to stay perfectly still while they inserted and froze my back. After that was done the ladies were allowed back in the room and they had me lay on my side. The IV in my hand and contractions made me feel extremely freezing. They kept putting warmed blankets on top of me since I was shivering and chattering. I looked like I had a blanket fort set up. Each time they checked me they had to remove them off and put them back on. I had to lie on my sides for a bit to help the process. I was allowed to have a Popsicle to help my sugar levels..since I was being monitored and had not eaten much. I was in low of 4. Eating something freezing while you are chattering and shivering is hysterical. I remember telling my nurse that I did not believe the epidural was fully working and Doug laughed due to he told me my demeanor had completely changed so it had to be. You do not tell a woman in pain that her drug is not working when she still feels unwanted pain.
When they checked me at 6:30pm I was pretty much fully dilated. The nurse was going to put my catheter in but the head was right there in the way. She told me she would have to wait until after the baby was born to put it in. At 7pm I got a new nurse due to change of shift. Around 7:20 she told me that Maskens was out of surgery and at the desk and she would like me to do a practice push. Now if Y'all have been following my blog...I do not do practice pushes and had informed the previous nurse before switching shifts that the head is always right there when I do. Considering the head was in the way of doing the catheter..we did the practice push and she brought in the doctor..to bring A into the world.
At 7:34 I started to push...the head was right there..I had to stop pushing due to the cord being around the neck...as I stopped the baby was pushing her own way out..launched her feet against my rib cage. The doctor asked if I had stopped...I replied I did that is her pushing her own way out. After he had the cord around the babies shoulders, he asked me to push again...and A came into the world. At 7:37pm we had our youngest family edition. Ava Quinn. The pediatrician came in right away with members of the niccu as well as nurses. Since she came out so fast her breathing was raspy and we did not know my strep results. They also had to check her sugars since I was gestational . They rushed her off after I held her for a very small amount of time. Doug left to walk her down to the niccu. We did not even know her weight or any details of her at this time. The pediatrician had told us before they left that he wanted to put her on the IV in the niccu. Little did we know that would mean one of the longest stays we have had at PRHC.
When we delivered it was fast..a faster birth than we have had yet..for time..intensity..contractions and pushing. At 37 weeks exactly..one day sooner than the time frame that O came into the world. The pediatrician told us before she left..in his 5 minute judgement call...that she is considered late pre-term...a term we have never heard before..even having O early. Which means she is bigger but due to gestational....if you can even call 7lbs 3 oz big....that things are still developing as if they may be 35weeks. He wanted her on the IV to flush out the sugars..regulate her and just in case they needed to run antibiotics through her if the strep cultures come back positive. Most of the time if you have the antibiotics in your system at birth you are fine..I had it with E and that's all they normally do. Every Pediatrician has there own way of doing things...this one was over cautious and did not want us to go home.
When Doug went into the niccu they hooked up the IV, checked her out. She was placed in the incubator or warm box..whatever term you would like to use. It was at 31.9C and her IV was at 60 and then jumped to 90 per hr. The cultures were taken from her Sat night but the computer does not put them into the system until Sunday and it takes 48hr-72hr to get them back...with growing cultures. A was 7lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long. Full head of hair and was ready to come out. I went to visit later on before everyone left..but could not feel my upper legs or butt due to the epidural so had to go on this neat thing you ride on to go see my new sweet girl. My hands were still shaking and I felt nauseous so we did not stay too long. I had to spend the night in labor and delivery since the next part after you get moved to was completely full. Ironic how the first time I request a private room all are full.
In the morning A was brought in from the Niccu to feed since I still had a catheter, Iv and could not fully feel everything. Plus the nurse I had did not want me getting up by myself..in case I fell. I can honestly say that she is the first...besides still being a bit disorganized that I had latch besides K. She does pretty good at breastfeeding besides me backing up with her being anywhere from 3-5hr in between feeds and fights my right side more than my left...#biggerboobproblems. Doug and the kids came up that morning to meet their new sister..capes,hats and button pushing fingers unite. It was great to see them and their faces lit up with so much love...besides K he was confused haha. Holly also came in to see her that day. It was nice to have visits on mothers day.
Later that day I was moved into the other section with a 2nd time mom thank goodness. It was nice to room with someone who knew what they were doing...last time it was a nightmare. Its hard hearing another baby crying when yours is stuck in niccu and you can not do much other than try and feed while they are on IV. I was told in niccu that day he jumped it to 90 per hr and he was weighing pee diapers etc. Her sugars were good...but still no culture results. Monday the pediatrician told me he was keeping her longer...which is hard...the kids were so sad and it was hard being away.
I was discharged Monday and moved into Parent care. No food but a free place to stay right beside the Niccu since my baby was in there and I am her food source. My brother came up to meet his newest niece and visit for awhile. I had a nice visit from our old neighbors in Peterborough that night. I was giving her pumped, breast fed, formula..anything I could to get her out sooner. She passed all of her jaundice tests, hearing tests. I had to fight the doctor on getting her tongue checked out for tongue tie. He is a avid breast feeder pusher and against clipping tongue ties. O was okay after formula and sugar water..since A was on IV she had to go back down after being jumped up and dropped in temp slowly before getting into just a crib.
The nurses are all amazing in the niccu...answered any questions. tried to convince the pediatrician that the baby was doing great. He was set on getting the blood results back..even though we found out my strep was not positive. I was told on Tuesday that if we fed really well and proved to the pediatrician that we could get her feeds consistent enough to stabilize weight or get it up...he wanted to see if I could handle it...It was like he thought A was our first kid...not the 4th. Holly came to see me and keep me company on Tuesday....jail broke me to get some dinner. I also had my DH up daily to see how we were doing....I believe he was getting a little run down between us not being home and having all 3 by himself.
Happily on Weds we were given the okay to go home as long as we made an appointment with our doctor for Friday and told her if she can not handle it that she could refer us back to him. We dropped off Pierre's winnings, drove back to Brighton and we picked up E from school to show her teachers E's little sister. When we left the hospital A was 6lb 8oz only a 4% drop..not too bad. By Friday at our almost 1 week appointment she was already back up to 6lb 15oz....so almost 7. Our family doctor was very happy to meet her and said she looked perfect. We are not on a super schedule but managing..now if the two boys would drop the aggression..Lots of change in a small amount of time..and jealousy.
We go back this Friday to have her 2 week check up. Our hearts are so full of love..honestly she is a really good baby. Early days..but we are definitely in for a great Adventure.

36 Weeks Day 5 Appointment
Hey Y'all
So today we were back in Peterborough to see the specialist..who we love! He actually did a scan today...believes this sweet child of mine is roughly 8lbs. Hilarious right! The biggest baby I have had was O and he was 7.7!
I will believe it when I see her...and the weight check that is. Not worried at all..still looks healthy and this mama is doing what she can by all the instructions given from a million different directions. So far my numbers for sugars are consistent and not scary but being managed the best way I know how through diet planning and exercise..carb counting is the worst..but ya do what ya gotta do for the baby right!!!
I also had the pleasure of doing the swab today...so fun..I continue to wear pads...ew and lose lots of fluids like I am peeing my pants....if you have never had that happen during pregnancy...consider it a blessing...still no contractions. If we surpass tomorrow and Friday we are onto the next bidder on the calendar..surprised no one picked Saturday as the date..anyone else want in on the money lol jk.
I also saw the dietician and diabetes center in Peterborough at 1pm. I talked to a nurse and a new dietician about what my case is...gave them the downlo....how far I am...what my numbers are...where my pregnancy is at..including losing things which makes a difference on timing..what I have been doing to control my sugars and exercise. All in all..in the end..as long as everyone is happy and healthy all that matters.
As of right now...especially since we are seriously in the home stretch we are not going to be going on insulin..but still managing the same way and I was given a new sugar meter since mine is like 20% out....good times. So more in range than we thought. They decided to ask Maskens and called me after we were home again to let me know I am good for now to stay off long lasting insulin..but I may have to have some during labor if my sugars are too high or juice or a Popsicle if they are low during labor...balancing act if you will. Also if the baby is a certain weight being higher it may need to be sugar monitored a bit longer if not responding to formula and sugar water etc.
So here is where we are at. NO insulin..for now thank goodness..keep exercising and eating the followed carb amounts at meals and snacks. A must to have a snack at night to help fasting sugar number in the morning. I am coming back to Maskens next Wednesday..if we make it there..haha...and he will be following me for the remainder of the pregnancy in Peterborough. He also may be delivering if he is the one on call..if not I get the other specialist...on rotation. My bag is packed and its only a hour drive right??? We can make it there....totally..just have to leave earlier haha...
Now I get to call and cancel my registration interview with Cobourg hospital for next week. My BMI would not meet the criteria anymore and no NICCU!
Those are the details..keeping you posted..Baby #4 could be here any day now..who knows we could even have her on Mothers Day! xoxo

This past Saturday May 30 marked 36 weeks! the previous week on the Wednesday we had a appointment in Peterborough with the specialist. We are now to go back again this Wednesday May 4th. I also now have a appointment booked in with the diabetic clinic at the Peterborough hospital to see if I should go on Insulin for the remainder of the pregnancy
. I may not even make it till that point. Saturday May 7th marks 37 weeks. When I had gestational diabetes with O I had him the day after I switched into my 37th week. My water actually broke on its own in that pregnancy.
I am already starting to I believe lose what they call the plug. Which I did for a couple of days with E but that was a couple days before 2 weeks to go. 37 weeks is considered full term for delivery. Some ppl can lose the "plug" for weeks. Doug figure every time I cough or sneeze we are one are closer to him winning the betting pool. It would have to be Thurs or Friday for him to win. If I deliver Sat or Sunday Our old neighbor in Peterborough Pierre Wins.
I would prefer to not go until after 37 weeks. I will be asking to be checked weds unless I go into labor before then. We shall see what appointments I make it to. I can still deliver in cobourg if I have to and have no time and have not met the Bmi again or am on insulin. If not I am registered at both hospitals and will be headed to Peterborough.
We shall keep you all posted! Time is flying. Closer until we meet our newest edition.

35 Weeks and Counting!
A lot has gone down in the past couple of weeks. My DH has gone to India for 2 weeks and back. In the mean time while he was away I had to start Carb Counting..JOYS! No Pressure or stress at all right?
I have to be followed by a dietician to get my sugar levels checked and regulated to not go on insulin..I am considered borderline gestational diabetic. So While he was away..I was allowed and still am following the rule of only having well balanced meals with more protein and fiber..lots of veggies and only a carb count of 30-45g per meal and 20-30 for a snack. The first week went super great..its not a easy thing to try and follow..limiting carbs and counting everything. I also have to make sure I am getting extra exercise in after meals to help reduce sugar levels..which now I am finding with my over night fasting number..does not really make a huge difference.
The second week my whole family got the flu..including my mom who was staying with us. IT was honestly awful. Doug was lucky enough that he did not seem to get it when he came back. My numbers for sugars are getting down to where they want them to be. Most of the day is usually bang on target..my morning number was finally down in the 5's for the week I was sick and just after..but usually likes to hover around 6 in the am. So far I have not had to go on Insulin..the doctor and dietician are happy. If I get put on insulin it is a automatic delivery in Peterborough. My weight has been dropping off since on the carb watch..I am down 3 or possibly a lot more since the baby is still gaining weight.
After Doug came back we went in for another appointment and weight ultrasound at Cobourg's Hospital. The doctor who did the scan estimated that she is already 7 pounds roughly. I remember them saying they thought O was going to be like 9-10lbs and he came the day after I switched to 37 weeks. He only weighed 7.7lbs. I am in my 35 week and feel I only have 2 1/2 to 3 weeks left. I am only so tall and run out of room...then I swear they hit the eject button. I have been getting braxton hicks on and off for a couple weeks randomly...great feeling.
This week we are off to see the Specialist in Peterborough Dr.Maskins..just to make sure he thinks we are all in the clear to deliver in Cobourg or if we should continue care up there with him and deliver in Peterborough. If I keep my levels down and weight Cobourg can deliver if we are not too early. I have packed most of my bag already just to be ready to go! Doug thinks that this baby will be here sooner than later. I have registered part way with Cobourg..They have this funny interview where you do all the paper work and see the delivery area etc..we however are not booked in until the 11th of May. I feel we will be going in to have the baby the same day. I would be surprised if we make it. Peterboroughs form I have filled out but not handed in yet. I feel we will bring it and hand it in after our specialist apt if he says we should be up there instead.
The bassinet is washed and set up. The Bag is almost packed. We have bought some NB diapers again..and most of all the newborn and 0-3month clothes are already washed as well as the carseat, bouncy chair and swing seat. I feel we are more prepared than before..now if only I can narrow down the names better and get these sugar numbers handled.
We will keep you posted on what is happening. Wednesday should be interesting. Who knows maybe it will be a mothers day we never forget. Daddy has picked the 5th...which is before 37 weeks hits. The next runner up is Pierre our old neighbor in Pdot..The Calendar is up and visible for the betting pool! love to all..xoxo

Beginning to look like Spring
Hey Y'all
I have not posted a lot on here lately. Hard to believe I will be 31 weeks tomorrow with our 4th Baby..E is now 4 years 3 months..O is over 2 1/2 and K is going to be 14 1/2 months old...CRAZY!
Miss E:
She is doing great..besides a cough that lingers from a cold. Her speech is getting better, trying new foods. She loves school..cries about snow days..believes she has a boyfriend. Is becoming more out going
Motherhood is a fun roller coaster..where one minute your 1st born is telling you to check out her poop shaped like a crescent moon and asking me if I am proud of her...then informing me next time she aims to make a star shaped poop..OH DEAR!
This same week I have been asked to pick out a crown to wear. When one crown is picked then I am told that is not the right one..that is a boys crown and I need to wear the opposite crown I picked out to wear. I wonder why sometimes I was given the choice.
We love our brothers sometimes too much especially K. They are always horsing around with each other. She is an amazing artist and beginning to tell us what they are meaning. Every day is something new.
Captain O:
My teething 2 1/2 year old. We believe we are getting molars in. Sometimes now biting..bringing his buddies everywhere he goes at home. Very cuddly with we all enjoy..but are a wee bit tired of the early wake ups and fighting bedtime routine.
We are over tired..causing O to be more aggressive. We love O to bits...but the hitting and anger from lack of emotional outlet/expression needs to be worked on. We are always talking about feelings and what all of our body parts are for and not for...like hitting or kicking/head butting. We are doing very well with speech..but for someone his age to say he is mad etc just does not happen. We can not put the pieces together quite yet.
Most of the time K and O are great playing together. Sometimes a little too great..they love to get into trouble together..for example..Tupperware or diapers all over the floor..clothes pulled from drawers...you need something dumped..I have two guys I know that will probably work for cookies.
Is it just me or do boys talk about their penis all the time. Its a common word around here with our O. Also we are singing and so happy a lot of the time. Big on super heros, dress up and naming things.
The other night we had to get monsters out of his room for the first time ever. Dad can be pretty bad ass when it comes to removing monsters and making sure the room is sleep safe. Gotta love it..
Sir K:
Explorer Extraordinaire, Parrot of learning new words, trouble..possibly his new motive and name.
We are constantly curious and into things we should not be. Just the other day we were back in my shower..let in by his partner in crime..to my shower..where we had bottles down and came out with Irish Springs in his hand in which he had been chewing on..I swear this kid will eat anything can. Teething helps this hobby of everything being edible. I guess washing his mouth out as a possible punishment down the road is void..we like the taste. Food goodness sakes we will eat soap willingly but have texture issues with foods we should be eating...fun times.
We are always biting! Unfortunately K thinks it is hilarious. We are a dumper at heart..totally a boy thing. I am still trying to switch him to just afternoon nap. This is always depending on how early we are awake. A daddy's boy at heart..as soon as daddy is done work K is all over him. I see jealousy happening in the near future.
We keep trying new foods, We still prefer liquid over solids. Milk is number 1. Only on Homo now. He is a grazer and snack stealer at heart. The boy still probably is just maybe 20lb we have not weighed him since his 1 year where he was 18lbs. I have some size 12 month pants that fit him but a lot of what he is in is still 6-12 month pants or 6-12 or 9-12 month onesies. The boy is constantly moving and burns off whatever he eats. He practically runs around the house. Falls and Bruises are just a story of an adventure with our boys. I feel sometimes they need helmets on at all times.
This weekend is Easter...we bought them all bikes from my DH and myself..so excited to get into spring and warmer weather. After the Ice Storm we just had..we need some nicer weather.
Much love to all..xoxo The Brants

30 Weeks have gone by!
A couple of weeks ago we had our gender party! We announced we are having a baby girl!!!! We are soooo excited to share our big news and our other children are thrilled to be having a little sister soon..especially Miss E! We are very thankful and blessed to have so many ppl who celebrated with us...if you did not make it out..we missed you.
This past week on Wednesday I went for another prenatal appointment..the last couple I have been jumping a couple pounds since We are down in the home stretch and going every 2 weeks. My blood pressure is finally getting lower again..may not stay there for long..but we shall see.
The baby seems to be doing great..moving lots...great heartbeat..but then again here comes the time where I needed to go once again for a sugar test. I did one earlier that came back great where I was in the clear. I went this past Wednesday just to make sure everything was still good since I have had gestational with my 2nd out of 5 pregnancies...can never be too careful as they like to tell me.
When they checked my urine sample..as they do each time you are there for protein, sugar levels etc..it showed traces of sugar..so I had to do a finger prick..which had me at 8.9....a little high..the doctor, nurses and myself thought it was just due to me just getting blood done for the sugar test minutes before I came to the doctors..drinking the glucose drink that we all enjoy (LOL) not even a hour before my appointment at the doctors office.
My weight had also now jumped to 232/33 lbs so I had to ask the doctor what my magical bmi/weight number was when I can no longer deliver in Cobourg Hospital. I now am at the point where I am only allowed to gain 3lbs before I am not able to deliver in Cobourg due to the weight/bmi restriction..due to no NICU and Anesthesia rules..making more complications possible. Which means I will be transferred to Peterborough and probably our Doctor who helped us start our family the specialist in the are Maskens.
Today I go a call..doctor had called me peronally..never really gives you a good feeling...especially on a holiday. My results came in and my sugar test was at a 9 something. So now on Monday I go back in to do the 2 hr sugar test...if it comes back good I am ok...but still may be transferred due to my weight number..if its high I may have gestational again and be back on insulin if they can not correct my levels with seeing a dietician. Either way the care will be in the hands of doctors in Peterborough. Lets hope in the end we do not have the baby on the way to the hospital..being a hour drive and all. If I get the green on gestational I have to have another scan to check on the growth of our baby girl. I measured at 32 wks when I just turn 31 weeks tomorrow..when she measured my stomach lying down with the measure tape for growth. It may explain my weight gain and measurements if the sugar is not processing properly.
Its not often they tell you that you can not deliver somewhere..or to diet..maintain or lose weight to deliver somewhere. I am not upset about if we have to go back to Peterborough. We know the doctors..the nurses and team in the Prenatal and Delivery unit in Peterborough are amazing..just was hoping to avoid this road all together. If this baby comes fast and we do not make it in time may be different. We may have low sugar in the baby again if I am on insulin. Last pregnancy everything was completely normal..no difficulties until the birth day or days.
We always get through each hurdle...timing is not great since my husband is going to India for 2 weeks and I now may have a lot more distance appointments to attend.Lots of family around for support is a great blessing. We will definitely keep y'all more posted..I have not had much to say..all was normal and well until now.
I hope you all enjoy your Easter..I will be checking sugar levels with my monitor..dreaming of my Easter chocolate I should not or can't eat until I know more..if anyone wants ice cream...come on over. Much love..xoxo

Baby #4
Here we are past half way through our 5th pregnancy..baby #4.
We have known for quite some time...in the fall before my DH was leaving to go to Texas for work for a week. We took a test..he did not want to believe the symptoms I was having was linked to now what we know as baby #4 on its way. I told him the day his flight was leaving...SURPRISE!
After this many times..you just know..call it mothers intuition. I did not have a period this time..I know I know TMI..but common honestly..its all linked. Lets say we got lucky..haha...literally and then bing bang boom....we created another miracle. Lets say timing around my birthday was a good thing. I did not normally worry about birth control while pumping or Breastfeeding due to I do not get periods when I am. We would have started to take more precautions if so. We waited a while to make it more special and a nice surprise. I always like waiting way until around or after the 3 month mark since we have had so many problems before dear Miss E. My DH started singing snip songs when he first found out due to we were probably going to have a 4th but after K was 1- 1/2. God does not always follow our plans and usually there is a reason..Blessed we are.
We are so excited to be having another baby. Our last set of firsts. Our days are never dull...or quiet lol..but we love our children and our lives. The journey we are on is ours and we love it. Today marks 8 years married and this summer we have been together 11years.
SO far so good..everything is healthy and going well. I do not have gestational thankfully. All blood work is in the clear...scans have been great! Blood pressure is sometimes high..but each day is different. We are due the end of May..the 28th. I always go early, so we shall see what happens. We are seeing a doctor in Cobourg and will be delivering there unless I go over their weight restrictions. I am only allowed to gain like 20 something pounds. They do not have a Special care nursery so for extra precautions if that happens you get sent to good old Peterborough where they do have a NICU and we have had all our other babies there anyways. I was originally going to have a midwife..or try and get one..but after being switched by my doctor by referral I did not want to switch again.
We have one more month appointment at the end of Feb and then we start going every 2 weeks. I am currently 23 weeks 4 days...so 24weeks this Saturday.
As for Sex...we are going out with a bang. With K i wanted to have a gender party...we did not have the chance too..I have started to order some things to get it started! It will be so exciting to share our big news with a celebration of a new life...I am thinking some minute to win it! Gender Style..and a big reveal! Who is in!!!!!!
I will post more after the next appointment..xoxoxo The Brants

K turned 1 years Old!
Hey y'all,
Sir K is now officially 1! We just has his 1 year appointment with our new doctors office in Cobourg and he is doing awesome! He is now a whole whopping 18lbs 10 oz. For him that is super considering before that he was 16lbs..so we are starting to be on the gaining incline nicely. He is also 73.6 cm in height...or 29 inches. We took our two needles like a true trooper!
We have started to drink out of a sippy and straw cup if it means stealing our brothers drinks. We try randomly to give him his Straight up Homo milk to him at meals but we usually end up using a bottle where he is self feeding. If not we spit more than half of it out as a game. We are big on having our milk first but eating in between. He is definitely a boy who knows what he wants..you do not mess with him and his yogurt! When its food time or he thinks it is..K means business.
We are walking now when coaxed or from the table to couch..so 4-6 steps before getting down to crawl..give him chair or walking toy and he runs with it...across the length of the hall or house if he chooses. We do not have trouble getting around at all...in fact the one day there was a pillow that had fallen down from the couch and it sat near the coffee table...well K wasted no time in climbing on top of the coffee table to shake his bum around dancing and laughed the whole time..takes after his father already I tell ya!
We are repeating lots of words...mom, dad, "I got it or I did it", more, please, mine, hi and bye, car. We love to make clicking sounds with our mouth, blow kisses, vroooooom cars and waving. Shaking our head yes and no is a close favorite. Chasing the dog and pulling her hair is a new expertise..her water and food dish are never safe anymore. I have acquired a new member of the throw all the tupper ware on the floor club. If you are missing a sock or item...chances are at my house..K or O....hid it or have chewed on the sock! K loves to eat socks..wearing them is optional.
We are such a happy little guy. Always playing hide and seek..teething like mad..biting everyone and everything in sight..especially his sister which he loves to tackle. Our lives would be so dull without K...who we love...but he definitely is going to be trouble...especially when the two boys decide to gang up against the house rules.
O:
O has been off lately. Not sure if its teeth or just the fact that he was the last one to get sick and has not quite gotten over it all. We are up early..and to sleep later. We have been coming into our room a lot lately..sometimes as early as randomly 1am but most of the time around 4am. Also fighting meals..we have hit the 2 1/2 wants to make your own choices but not sure what you actually want so its a emotional draining battle of wills. We love to talk back in a deep monster mad voice..which evidently gets him into more trouble than his argument was worth.
He love to watch movies currently and will tell you which one he wants. We are big on cars and building and the boy will go anywhere if it includes a good old car ride. We started to dance and sing again more often. Today we were dancing during lunch to Kelly Clarkson's latest cd off my phone and he told me he really liked this music we were playing as he nodded and clapped and tapped to the beat.
E:
Miss E....miss independent but we are too tired and do not want to or know how. 4 years old....with a attitude. Threenagers are bad enough...4 when we are starting to become aware of the surroundings and more words..but have to test all the rules around us..with lots of talking back.
We signed E up for speech therapy and occupational..which other kids in her class do as well..thinking that it would help her with learning more at school...anything can help..she is after all the youngest in her school. Well they just finally starting accessing her and we signed her up in November...silly! She does not quite open up easily to new ppl and can be quite shy even if you do know her and has not seen you in awhile. I get a write up about each session. I am excited to see how much this helps her out since she loves school so dearly..if she ever opens up that is.
We are doing much better having no accidents and going daily usually on our own to the bathroom at school. So proud of how far she has come since the start of her school days.
Everyone is getting so grown up over here. Never a dull moment..xoxoxo
